Yesterday, July 13, tropical cyclone "Basyang" ravaged Metro Manila, releasing 30-60 kilometer-per-hour winds that would snap several power lines, leaving the metro and several provinces, in darkness.
Until today, July 14, classes from elementary to high school levels are still suspended due to heavy rains and flood. Only 20 percent of Metro Manila's electricity has been restored. Cellular phone users subscribed to Globe are experiencing network failure. Commuters are stuck in traffic; MRT and LRT lines were shut down earlier today due to power outage.

I advise everyone to check typhoon2000 on future typhoons dahil makakakuha kayo ng ideas kung saan man pupunta ang bagyo sa susunod.
Ang magiging comment ko lang sa PAG-ASA, sa susunod igsian nila ang interval ng pagrerelease ng forecast. di 'yong every 6 hours pa rin. mas malaki ang maitutulong n'yan sa atin.

to be fair with PAG-ASA naman, their forecast is almost similar naman to JMA-Japan and JTWC-US. So I think, naluluma na talaga ang mga forecast models in this part of the world.
If anyone have observed in another topic, I think our moderators have deleted that, I have posted a babala regarding on the directions of the typhoon last Tuesday afternoon. I have mentioned that forget about the Northern Quezon- Aurora directions as the typhoon will hit MM and southern luzon part. That analysis was made after seeing two days of constant deviations including that of JMA and JTWC forecasts wherein the typhoon is not following the WSW forecast direction but rather continuing on a westward direction. Further, I have a high confidence on that direction based from the loop analysis and observations on the environment around the typhoon. kaya di na ako surprised kung dumaan man kami sa ginta ng bagyo... I advise

This was my 2nd memories I getting catch up the Typhoon quot;Basyangquot; than the one was quot;Milenyoquot; in September 2006.

The winds are so stronger amp; the rains was not stopping after the morning was rising up... I can't get this for now...
Sa mga natamaan ung mga ibang lugar sa Metro Manila ay wala pa ring ilaw naaawa ako kahit kailan kahit sa mga mahirap na lugar dyan sana makaya nila un with their loved ones.

medyo mababaw naman itong mga celebrities. dapat sana di na ito ilinagay sa news. pasalamat sila at di tumutulo ang bubong nila di tulad ng mga ibang pinoy na tinangay ang bahay. may nabasa pa ako sa news, dinala ang mga anak sa gym at natulog sa malamig na semento dahil wala na ang bahay nila.

Natawa din ako sa ibang mga celeb, medyo over naman ang reaction. ZOMG I can't connect! ZOMG where did the electricity go?! Sino at ano na ang pagasa ko when there is no tv/cable?! Waaaaa!!! Be thankful at magaganda ang mga tinitirahan nila samantalang ang mga karamihan ayun at natangay na ng malakas na hangin ang mga karton shelter nila.
