Very hunky ang StarStruck V Second Prince na si Rocco Nacino, at wala siyang problemang ipakita ito. Sa Bench Uncut noong July 2 ay wala sa script na tinanggal niya ang costume niyang armor. Nauna pa rito, sa Judgment Night ng StarStruck V noong February 21, siya lang ang nakaisip na punitin ang T-shirt niya.
Biro tuloy ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) nang makapanayam siya recently, hindi kaya nagiging exhibitionist na siya?
"Ano naman po, kasi I think I'm confident kasi, e. Pinaghirapan ko itong katawan ko, e. Lalo na po sa Bench... Gusto ko talaga ipakita yung pinaghirapan ko."
Dagdag pa niya, "Gusto ko rin i-showcase kung ano yung ginawa ko in two weeks—nag-crash diet ako, nag-work out ako twice a day para diyan. 'Tapos I have a great trainer to help me out, yung trainer ni Dingdong [Dantes] na si Jonnel Cruz, sa EDSA Shangri-La po, sa hotel gym... After nung Bench, nag-member na po ako...
"May week na hindi po ako nakakapag-gym kasi sobrang trabaho, pero kung puwede po araw-araw. Gigising ako nang maaga, dun na ako maliligo para mapilit ko sarili kong mag-work out araw-araw."
CREATIVE UNDER PRESSURE. Ang mga gimmick na ginawa sa Bench Uncut at Judgment Night ng StarStruck V ay mga spur-of-the-moment decisions daw. "Mas creative ako pag nape-pressure ako, pag nagka-cram ako," sabi niya.
Sa finals ng naturang reality artista search, naghanap daw siya ng gunting bago rumampa sa production number niya. "May nakita ako na nag-aahit ng kilay [backstage]. 'Pahiram niyan, pahiram!' Tinastas ko dito [sa may dibdib], para mas madali [sirain]."
Siya lamang ang gumawa noon. Hindi naghubad sina Steven Silva at Enzo Pineda, mga kasamahan ni Rocco sa Starstruck V. Si Steven ang nagwagi sa reality TV star-search program, habang sina Rocco at Enzo ang mga runner-ups.
Pero kahit madali kay Rocco na magpakita ng abs, hindi pa niya kayang rumampa o magpa-pictorial ng naka-underwear lamang. Hanggang upper torso ang gusto pa lang niyang i-expose.
"Masyado pa pong maaga para dun," katwiran niya, "kasi... fresh pa ako, 'tapos ibibigay ko na lahat? So ano pa ie-expect sa akin ng mga tao? Give them something to look forward to."
Ang tamang panahon siguro ay kung kunin siyang endorser ng isang underwear brand. Kung palarin, "Kaya 'yan, kakayanin," masigla niyang sagot. "Kaya ng powers!"
NURSE AT HEART. Graduate ng nursing sa Mapua Makati si Rocco, at nakapasa na siya ng board. Ngayong artista na siya, totally bang tatalikuran na niya ang pagiging nurse?
"Ah, if things go very well here sa showbiz, at kung tumagal po ako sa showbiz, maybe. Pero definitely, nandiyan pa rin ang nursing sa akin... nagbabasa pa rin ako minsan."
At minsan daw ay nagagamit niya sa mga fans. "Minsan may mga fans na nagtatanong, 'Anong gagawin ko, may lagnat ako ngayon?' Hahaha! Oo, libreng consultation."
Ilang taon ang binibigay niya sa sarili niya para sumikat nang husto bilang artista?
"Wala... hindi ko pa napag-iisipan 'yan. Ibinibigay ko lahat ngayon, e. Kaya ang gusto ko, as long as I can, kahit bumaba, pipilitin ko pa ring umangat."
