Hindi ang Pinoy remake ng Koreanovela na Coffee Prince ang susunod na project ni Carla Abellana sa GMA-7. Pero noong unang napabalita ito, aminado si Carla na ikinatuwa niya ito dahil gusto raw talaga sana niyang gumanap na lalake o tomboy sa isang proyekto.
"Tama!" bulalas niya sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). "Maganda nga, e, gusto ko yun kasi I've tried acting as a tomboy sa Carinderia Queen last year, and nagustuhan ko siya and ang daming nagsabi na bagay siya sa akin."
Ang bidang aktres kasi sa Coffee Prince ay magpapanggap na lalake sa kuwento.
LESBIAN RELATIONSHIP. Dahil tungkol dito ang topic, naitanong namin kay Carla kung naligawan na ba siya ng tomboy.
"Hindi po, wala, wala po. Hindi po, coed po kami nung college," sabi niya nang makausap siya ng PEP sa presscon ng Mamarazzi noong Biyernes, August 20.
Paano kung ligawan si Carla ng isang lesbian?
"I don't have anything against them, I don't have ano... I have friends who are gays, and I've had friends in high school who are lesbians. I don't have anything against them naman, pero parang ako, to be open to, you know, a lesbian relationship, parang hindi kasi ako ganun, di ba?" sabi niya.
GIRL CRUSH. Pero aminado si Carla na mayroong tinatawag na "girl crush." Ang girl crush ay paghanga ng isang babae sa kapwa niya babae nang walang malisya.
Sa isang interview nga, sinabi ni Anne Curtis na ang girl crush nito ay si Solenn Heussaff, ang castaway ng Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown na kapatid ng boyfriend ni Anne na si Erwan Heussaff.
Incidentally, si Anne ang isa sa "girl crush" ni Carla.
"Ako, girl crush ko si Anne Curtis, 'tsaka si Marian Rivera, at saka si Yassi, yung sumasayaw sa Party Pilipinas. Napakahusay niyang sumayaw!" bulalas ng young actress.
Bakit mga girl crush ni Carla ang mga nabanggit?
"Kasi si Anne is very beautiful and she seems so fit. Si Marian naman napakaseksi at maganda din naman siyempre. Si Yassi kasi magaling sumayaw, naiinggit ako sa kanya," sagot ni Carla.
Dahil babaeng-babae si Carla, of course, may mga crush din siyang guys.
"Si Gerald Anderson, si Piolo Pascual, at si Dennis Trillo," aniya.
Hindi na namin ipinasama sa list ni Carla si Geoff Eigenmann, na leading man niya sa Basahang Ginto, dahil given na 'yon.
DENNIS-JENNYLYN FANS. Speaking of Dennis, balitang ang aktor ang makakapareha ni Carla sa susunod niyang project for GMA 7 after Basahang Ginto. Handa ba siyang awayin ng mga fans nina Dennis at Jennylyn Marcado, na kasintahan ni Dennis?
"Hindi naman, kasi mababait ang mga fans ni Dennis sa akin," sagot ni Carla. "Si Jennylyn naman, I don't think naman na she would get offended or she would feel bad that Dennis and I would be working. Hindi ko pa nami-meet ang fans ni Jennylyn, e. Pero yung fans ni Dennis, okay naman, mababait naman sila at excited naman sila for us."
WORKING WITH ANDI. Isa si Carla sa mga artista ng Mamarazzi ng Regal Films na palabas simula ngayon, August 25, sa mga sinehan. Pinagbibidahan ito ni Eugene Domingo, at kasama rin sa pelikula ang bida ng Agua Bendita na si Andi Eigenmann.
