Isang maikli ngunit makahulugang mensahe ang ipinarating ni Johnny Manahan sa aktres na si Claudine Barretto sa text message na ipinadala niya sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). Una itong nailathala sa PEP Alerts kaninang hapon, August 25.
Ang mensahe ay bilang tugon sa banta ni Claudine, sa isang artikulong lumabas sa People's Tonight kahapon, August 24, na magsasampa ang aktres ng kaso laban kay Angelica Panganiban.
Si Mr. Manahan, o mas kilala sa bansag na Mr. M, ang unang head ng talent arm ng ABS-CBN na Star Magic, na siyang humahawak sa career ni Angelica. Dati ring talent ng Star Magic si Claudine, at ang Star Magic ang kinikilala ng lahat na naghubog at nagpatanyag sa aktres. Si Claudine ay matagal na nasa bakuran ng ABS-CBN, bago siya lumipat ng GMA-7.
Ayon kay Mr. M: "Go Ahead. Sue, Claudine. Make our Day! Para Bellum."
Ang "para bellum" ay mula sa Latin adage na si vis pacem, para bellum. Sa Ingles: "If you wish for peace, prepare for war."
Sa panayam ni Claudine kay Ian Fariñas sa Davao City noong Linggo, August 22, tinukoy ng aktres ang pinag-ugatan ng away nila ni Angelica. Ito ay ang pagkakalat diumano ni Angelica na meron siyang ka-affair na lalake, na best friend umano ng boyfriend ni Angelica na si Derek Ramsay.
Ayon pa kay Claudine, wala na raw makapipigil sa kanyang desisyon na idemenda ng "libel o slander" si Angelica. Tinukoy pa nitong maging ang mister niyang si Raymart Santiago o si Mr. M ay hindi makapipigil sa kanya.
“Magharap na lang kami sa korte!” mariing pahayag ni Claudine tungkol kay Angelica.
Kahit pa raw humingi ng public apology si Angelica ay hindi na mababago ang desisyon niyang idemanda ang dating co-star sa ABS-CBN soap na Iisa Pa Lamang.
“It’s too late for an apology. I gave her so many weeks na,” sabi pa raw ni Claudine.
Dagdag pa niya, "I don't think it's fixable."
