"Nainterbyu ko 'yan sa backstage, tapos parang ayaw niya akong kausapin!. Mga isang tanong, isang sagot lang. Yung mga, 'Sir, kumusta naman po?' Pero after the interview, tiningnan niya yung microphone ko, 'RPN?' Sabi niya, 'Kilala kita, ikaw yung may show sa RPN, na may mga audience sa likod,'" recalls Mr. Fu about his first encounter with Joey de Leon.

In our recent interview with Mr. Fu, isa sa mga nilinaw niya sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang tungkol sa pagkawala niya noon sa GMA-7 noontime show na Eat Bulaga!.
"Tapos na yung contract. Actually, yung contract kasi, tapos na yung dance contest. They got me for a dance contest. Supposedly, one month lang yun, naging six months. So, sobrang happy ako. Dapat isang beses lang yung dance contest, yung 'Boom Boom Pow.' Hindi ko makakalimutan yun.
"Tapos, nag-grand finals, tapos nag-imbento sila ng isa pang sayaw, kumuha sila ng iba pang tugtog, ako ulit. Tapos nag-grand finals yun tapos umulit na naman on the third," paliwanag ni Mr. Fu.
So, hindi totoong inalis siya kundi na-extend pa pala siya as guest host?
"Oo, oo. Pero kasi, ganun naman sa Bulaga, di ba? Ang talagang mainstay dun, yung talagang matagal na dun, yung mga host talaga."
Gaano siya katagal siya sa Eat Bulaga!?
"Six months...parang June to December, parang ganun, of last year."
Bagamat nawala siya sa Eat Bulaga!, napakarami pa ring raket ni Mr. Fu sa tulong na rin ng kanyang manager na si Noel Ferrer.
Isa siya sa mga bagong deejay ng 103.5 WOW-FM ng The Radio Partners, Inc. May storytelling activity din siya siya sa Enchanted Kingdom this October 31 (with guests Edgar Allan Guzman, Rodjun Cruz, and DJ Myke). Bukod dito, may TweetBiz din siya sa Q11 at P.O.5 sa TV5.
Kaya pa ba niyang tumanggap ng ibang raket?
"Ako naman kasi, lagi ko lang sinasabi, huwag lang nilang galawin yung time ng radio show. Kaya lahat ng taping ko, lahat after lunch. Tapos, hindi rin ako nagpapaumaga kasi ayoko ng pagod yung boses sa umaga. So, hanggang 12 midnight lang."
NEW RADIO SHOW. Sa Energy FM dati si Mr. Fu. Sino ang pumalit sa iniwan niyang timeslot?
"Actually, walang pumalit sa akin doon, in-overlap lang. Halimbawa, wala nang 8 to 11 na timeslot dun sa Energy ngayon, ginawa nilang 6 to 9, tapos 9 to 12. So, parang binaklas lang talaga nila ako from Energy.
"Yung show ko dati, Araw Mo With Mr. Fu. Yung ngayon sa 103.5 WOW FM, Magandang Morning, Mr. Fu. Puro mga ganun lang mga titles ko kasi wala lang, ayokong maging trivial masyado sa title, gusto ko simple lang."
Ano ang arrangement ng contract niya na lagare siya sa Q11, tapos may shows siya sa TV5?
"My contract with Q11 sa Tweetbiz lang, sa TV5, per project din. Hindi ako exclusive."
SHOW WITH JOEY. May bago rin siyang show sa TV5, Wow, Me Ganun!, kasama si Joey de Leon.
"Para siyang Wow, Mali! na ibang klase. So, Wow, Me Ganun! ang title," sabi ni Mr. Fu.
How does it feel na isang Joey de Leon ang kasama niya sa show?
"Si Tito Joey, sobra ko siyang idol. Kasi, natatandaan ko nung nag-showbiz reporter ako, mga unang sabak ko after ko mag-police reporter, nag-try akong mag-showbiz reporter.
