Yung tanong lang [ang pakikinggan], 'tapos pag sasagutin, hihinaan na niya yung volume. Dadalhin na niya ako sa sala namin, sasabihin niya sa akin, 'O, you answer that question.'"

Si Bianca Manalo ang ka-flipside cover ni Cesar Montano sa September issue ng FHM-Philippines na FHM Collections. Sa presscon na ginanap para sa kanilang dalawa ni Cesar sa Bahia Room ng Hotel Intercontinental sa Makati City, noong Huwebes, September 2, kasama sa mga itinanong kay Bianca ay ang tanong kay Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner-up Maria Venus Raj: "What is the biggest mistake you did in your life and what did you do to resolve it?"
Tawanan tuloy halos lahat ng press na naroon pati na rin ang mga nasa presidential table na sina Cesar, Bianca, FHM Managing Editor Allan Hernandez, at FHM Editor-in-Chief Allan Madrilejos.
"I've answered that question so many times. Same pa rin naman ang isasagot ko, e. I cannot think of one big mistake that I did before because I did several mistakes. And I believe that with each mistake, we should live by it, not live with it. You learn from your mistakes until the good becomes better, and better becomes best," animo nasa beauty pageant pa rin na sagot ni Bianca, na sinalubong naman ng matching palakpakan ng members of the press.
VENUS THE REDEEMER. Sa hiwalay na panayam kay Bianca pagkatapos ng presscon, ipinahayag ng 2009 Binibining Pilipinas-Universe title-holder sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang miyembro ng press ang komento niya tungkol sa naging performance at sagot ni Venus sa Miss Universe 2010 question and answer portion.
"Actually, happy naman ako sa naging answer niya. Kasi hindi naman mali. Ako kasi sa akin, super enough na yung naabot niya, e. I mean, ako, kung tatanungin mo ako personally, 'wag na natin siyang... yung tinitingnan pa natin yung failure na nangyari sa Q and A, kung sinasabi nga nila na nag-fail talaga siya, ha.
"Sa akin kasi enough na yun. Fourth runner-up? Ang tagal-tagal na. Last na nakasama ang Philippines [sa last five] was Ms. Miriam Quiambao pa!" Naging 1st runner-up sa 1999 Miss Universe Beauty Pageant si Miriam.
"Talagang she [Venus] made history again for us. Ang daming nangyari sa atin recently, di ba? Yung hostage-taking... 'tapos biglang, yun, binawi niya tayo, all of a sudden. So okay na yun, enough na yun," patuloy pa ni Bianca.
Noong nagkita nga raw sila sa wake ng fellow beauty queen nilang si Melody Gersbach, na namatay sa isang vehicular accident noong August 21, niyakap niya si Venus at panay ang sabi niya rito ng, "My God, binawi mo tayo, binawi mo tayo! Binawi mo na rin ako!'"
Parang pambawi nga raw para kay Bianca ang nagawa ni Venus, "Kasi, di ba last year hindi rin naman ako nag-succeed kasi? Kasi parang politics naman last year dahil walang nakapasok na Asian, na parang for the first time na nangyari yun. E, sinasabi rin naman ng mga tao na strongest ako. So yun... sobrang happy ako for her," saad pa ni Bianca.
DADDY'S TRAINING. Galing sa pamilya ng beauty queens si Bianca. Bb. Pilipinas-World 2002 ang ate niyang si Katherine Anne, habang Bb. Pilipinas-International 1969 naman ang tiyahin niyang si Nini Ramos Licaros.
Kuwento ni Bianca, mismo ang daddy niya ang palaging nagtutulak sa kanya na maging beauty queen din balang araw.
"Bata pa lang ako, tini-train na niya 'ko," kuwento ni Bianca, "Pag Miss Universe na [ang palabas sa TV], hihinaan na niya yung volume pag Q and A na. Yung tanong lang [ang pakikinggan], 'tapos pag sasagutin, hihinaan na niya yung volume. Dadalhin na niya ako sa sala namin, sasabihin niya sa akin, 'O, you answer that question.'
"Parang ako... 'Ha? E, di ganito ang sasabihin ko...' Magta-Tagalog pa 'ko. 'Tapos sasabihin [niya], 'No, no, no! You answer to me in English. You pretend you're already there.' Parang ako, 'Ha? A, e, bakit?' So yun ang iniisip ko. Yun pala, yun na yung training ko," patuloy ni Bianca.
SUCCESS IN SHOWBIZ. Kahit hindi pinalad sa Miss Universe bid niya, tinanggap naman siya ng showbiz at ngayon nga ay panalo sa TV viewers ang character niyang si Gigi sa Magkaribal, ang Divisoria girl-beauty queen na best friend ni Gelai (Bea Alonso).
Sa Magkaribal, may pagkatanga-tangahan si Gigi. Hindi ba natatakot si Bianca na ma-typecast siya sa tipong babaeng magaganda pero kulang sa utak?
"Actually, hindi naman kasi super tanga-tangahan naman ang role ko dun. Ano siya, kikay na beauty queen din siya. Kasi... ganito yun. Pagka nagte-take kami, minsan ganito lang ako magsalita, 'Gelai, ano ang sabi sa iyo ni Caleng?'" paghahalimbawa ni Bianca sa normal na pananalita niya. "Ika-cut ako ni Direk Nuel [Naval, isa sa dalawang direktor ng Magkaribal].
"Sasabihin niya sa akin, 'Girl, hindi ka Assumptionista dito... Taga-Divisoria ka!' So kailangang sirain ko talaga ang character ko, na yung Bianca alisin ko, na dapat yung Gigi talaga.
"So, I don't think na mata-typecast ako nang ganun, kasi hindi naman talaga ako ganun. Kasi character ko lang talaga yun," paliwanag pa ni Bianca.
Ngayong nasa TV na siya, hindi na ba malayong gumawa na rin siya ng pelikula?
"Sa ngayon po, ang manager ko ang nakikipag-coordinate. Pag ganun po, hindi pa naman pini-feed sa akin hangga't hindi pa napa-finalize."
