Asked if his deal with the network means he'll be an exclusive Kapatid, the actor-athlete-host answered: "I spoke to one executive from GMA and I asked them about Family Feud [which he previously hosted]. There's no answer from them, so dito na muna tayo."

Last June, Richard Gomez admitted to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) managing editor Karen Pagsolingan that his manager is meeting with the executives of TV5. Two months later, Goma talks about his upcoming projects with the said station during PEP's exclusive visit to the set of MyDSL: My Driver Sweet Lover at the Sanctuary Center in Mandaluyong City yesterday, September 4.
For this show, Richard will be playing the role of JC de Vera's father, one of the lead roles in the show. "Basically, JC is my son and Dina [Bonnevie] is someone in my past. The usual father role... I'm hoping we have a good script. Everything will really depend on the scriptwriting. With an easy role, it has to be complemented with good scriptwriting to be effective," Goma opines.
This is in addition to PO5 (Party on Five), TV5's variety show, which he and his wife Lucy Torres-Gomez host.
When asked if he will become exclusive for TV5, the 44-year-old actor says, "I spoke to one executive from GMA and I asked them about Family Feud. There's no answer from them, so dito na muna tayo."
He adds that making the decision was easy because he knows the TV5 executives personally and his wife is already a mainstay of the network.
MISSING FEUD. However, he also shares that he misses his hosting duties on Family Feud. "Nakaka-miss pa din talaga...
"Minsan hindi ko talaga tinitignan yung mga sagot sa survey, para pag lumabas yung sagot pati ako nagugulat. At makikita mo talaga na minsan, sumasang-ayon ako sa mga sagot ng candidates pag kunwari parang puwede," Goma says in between bites of the lumpiang turon served on the set.
Family Feud is an American game show that features different families going head-to-head in guessing the results of trivia surveys. It was ABC5 which got the first local franchise with Ogie Alcasid as the host and it lasted for two seasons. GMA-7 then produced its own version with Richard as the host.
Dingdong Dantes took over Goma's post when the latter ran for congressman of Ormoc, Leyte in the May 2010 elections. He didn't succeed in politics, but he's always been a winner in showbiz.
