"Actually, sinabi na talaga sa akin na gagawin ko 'yong Super Inday, e, wala pa man ay excited na ako! Feeling ko proud na talaga ako at excited! Iba, e!"
Marian Rivera appeared on Showbiz Central yesterday, September 5, 2010. for the show's Behind the Wall segment. Looking good in a backless dress and wearing a beautiful smile, Marian was minutes away from answering questions from three close, but as yet unidentified, friends.
Dubbed as "informants," the three were to ask her juicy and personal questions.
Her smile turned into a grin when she heard the first question, which was, "Marami na ring kumakalat na issue tungkol sa mga artista, at hindi ka din nakakaiwas sa mga ito minsan. Ano naman ang reaksyon mo kapag may naririnig kang ganitong intriga?""
"Wala," she answered. "Wala talaga, e. Masasabi ko din na wala akong Facebook at mga nausong Friendster na iyan, para makaiwas na din, kasi iyon ang payo ng manager sa akin, e, so doon ako sa magiging lihis sa problema."
Marian's priority was clearly to ignore negative vibrations in showbiz and bask in the blessings she is enjoying right now.
"Bakit ko pa kailangan malaman ang mga negative, e, kung ang dami-daming blessings na nanidyan sa harapan ko?" she said.
Some of the bad things said about Marian may have already reached Marian, so, in all honesty, was she ever hurt by these?
"Kung sasabihin ko kung ano mga nasaktan ako, e, parang lahat naman ng artista naiintriga, lahat naman may kapintasan," said Marian. "Aminado ako na hindi ako perpektong tao at nagkakamali ako."
"Pero, isa lang alam ko," she said later, "magtrabaho nang maayos at maraming mapaligaya!"
NO HELP REQUIRED. It was a surprise when the second informant revealed that Marian was doing all of her own housework. "Bakit hanggang ngayon hindi ka pa rin kumukuha ng kasambahay?"
"Ganito 'yan, pinili ko talaga na walang katulong. Bakit? Kasi sa bahay ko nararanasan na normal na tao ako, na maglinis ako, mag-vacuum ako, maglaba ng dapat labahan," explained Marian. "Pero mga hindi ko na kaya, siyempre pinapalabhan ko na. Sa bahay ko kasi nararamdam ko na ordinaryong tao ako. Kaya ako nagluluto, ako naglilinis, lahat ako!"
With a smile, she ended with, "Iyan ang isa sa ipagmamalaki ko—at marunong akong mamlantsa!"
How does she find time to do all those things?
"Mayroon!" laughed Marian. "Kahit isang araw may bakante ako. Binibigyan naman niya [Popoy Caritativo, her manager] ako ng isang araw na bakante!"
When asked if she can do all these things with her busy schedule, she shrugged and answered, "Enjoy ako, e. Enjoy ako sa ginagawa ko."
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS. Looking back on her past, Marian related how she started her career from scratch, and that she was proud of her success as an actress and how she got to where she was now.
"Nagsimula ako sa ilalim hanggang sa kung saan man ako ngayon," she said. "Masasabi ko, sa munting-munting narating ko, masaya ako kasi nagtrabaho ako nang mabuti at pinagsikapan ko. At wala akong tinapakan na tao at wala akong ginamit. Basta proud ako na wala akong tinapakan at wala akong ginamit na tao para makilala ako."
The fans of Marian among the studio audience went wild with her answer. Looking at them, Marian explained that her fans were witness to her beginnings as an actress.
"Alam nila na nagsimula ako sa wala, at nagsikap ako. Kung saan man ako, e, dahil sa kanila iyan," a smiling Marian said.
