Kung pagbabasehan ang pagpapalitan ng matatamis na salita nina Luis Manzano at Angel Locsin sa kanilang Twitter accounts, mukhang mauuwi sa reconciliation ang mag-iisang taon na ring breakup ng dalawang Kapamilya stars. Base sa tweets nina Luis at Angel, nakapag-date na pala uli sila kasama ang mga kaibigan ng TV host-actor.
Sa panayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Luis sa ASAP XV last Sunday, September 5, diretsahan naming tinanong ang TV host kung nagkabalikan na ba sila ng ex-girlfriend gaya ng iniisip ng ibang tao.
"Sasabihin ko na hindi pa talaga kami nagkakabalikan ni Angel," sagot ni Luis. "Pero nakalabas na kami, nakapunta na rin ako sa kanila, nakalabas na uli ako with her friends. The same way na siya rin with my friends.
"So, everything is on a very, very positive note. We're off to a very, very good start. Kaya naming sabihin na hindi lahat ng nag-break na couples kayang sabihin ito. Pero yung sa amin, we're off to a very good start."
Tinanong din namin kay Luis ang pagpapalitan nila ng messages ni Angel sa Twitter, kung saan mararamdaman ang magandang pagtitinginan uli nila.
"Sa Twitter kasi, siyempre no matter what happened between Angel and I, safe to say na nalagapasan namin yung iba't ibang stages ng breakup. Nandun kasi yung medyo galit, medyo may bitterness, medyo may pagiging awkward.
"Ngayon, wala na uling ilangan, yung mga past issues, kahit paapano nagkukulitan na uli. Nalagpasan na namin yun and we're happy na we're on our...this very, very positive phase sa kung anuman ang mayroon kami ngayon. Nakakapagkulitan na kami, nakakapag-asaran na... So, we're happy that we're back on track."
KNOWING THE TRUE ANGEL. Sa hiwalay na panayam ng PEP kay Angel, sinabi nitong hindi siya nakipag-date sa ibang lalake during her breakup with Luis. (CLICK HERE to read related story.) Pero sa kaso ni Luis, aminado siya that he went out on dates pero purely enjoyment lang daw at walang romantic involvement.
Aniya, "Sabi ko nga nun, ang daming speculations na lumabas about her, ako mismo ang magsasabi na it's not true and it goes to show na hindi naman talaga totoo.
"Ako, I went out, lumabas din ako. Pero yung sinasabi na date talaga, based on a romantic level, hindi. But, I was going out after almost a long time na hindi ako gumimik, naka-gimik na ulit ako. I met a lot of new people, but not necessarily dating in a sense na nakatuon talaga nang sobra-sobra ang atensiyon ko, walang ganun."
Kahit matagal-tagal na rin ang breakup nila, mukhang hindi nawala ang special feelings ni Luis sa ex-girlfriend. Ibinigay ni Luis ang mga dahilan kung bakit nanatiling espesyal para sa kanya ang aktres.
"Ako kasi, nakilala ko ang tunay na Angel," sabi niya. "Alam ko kung gaano siya kabait, na kung ano ang nakikita ng camera kung gaano siya kabait, di hamak na mas marami pa siyang nagagawa sa likod ng kamera. Kahit siya mismo, ayaw niyang nagpa-publicize ng mga nagagawa niyang tulong. That's one thing about Angel. Pero kung ano ang nakikita ninyo sa TV na charitable acts na ginagawa niya, times 10 sa likod ng kamera."
GOV. VI KEEPS IN TOUCH. Naging open ang ina ni Luis na si Batangas Governor Vilma Santos kung gaano niya kagusto si Angel para sa anak, at kung gaano siya nalungkot na nauwi sa breakup ang relasyon ng dalawa. Sa magandang nangyayari ngayon kina Luis at Angel, sinabi ni Luis na updated ang ina tungkol dito.
"Si Mommy, every day siyang nagte-text sa akin," banggit ni Luis. "Kay Mommy naman, basta happy ako, happy din siya. Minsan pag tinatawagan niya ako, 'Where are you?' sasabihin ko... For example with Angel, magtatanong siya, 'Kayo na?' Sasabihin ko naman, 'Hindi.' Ang sasabihin nun, 'Okay, enjoy, anak. I love you.'
"Sabi ko nga, no matter what we've been through, my mom has learned to love Angel not just because naging girlfriend ko si Angel, but because nakilala niya nang husto si Angel, yung tunay na pagkatao niya."
