When asked about the status of his lovelife, Vic retorted wittily, "Pakialam mo sa lovelife ko? Laugh or Lose. Love or Life. LoL. Ayos naman, wala namang problema. Ayos naman."

Vic Sotto is jubilant because his new show on TV5, Laugh or Lose (LoL), is doing very well. In fact, it dominated its timeslot last Saturday evening, October 9, when it was launched.

According to the latest data from AGB Nielsen, LoL garnered 30.6% of the audience share in its timeslot, 7 to 8 p.m. The program also helped TV5 place number one in the ratings game for Saturday primetime, beating GMA-7 and ABS-CBN.

"Ang big thing na nagpasaya sa amin ngayong araw na 'to... ay ang LoL ni bossing na kaka-launch pa lang, ay 30.6 percent ang audience share kaagad, making it the number one show," TV5 Head for Creative and Entertainment Perci Intalan announced to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and the other entertainment press who attended LoL's presscon yesterday, October 11, at the Broadway Centrum in Quezon City.

Vic brimmed with excitement. "Thank you, sir Perci! Bonus namin? Bonus nila?"

Smiling, the veteran comedian and TV host proceeded to talk about Laugh or Lose.

"Para dun sa mga hindi nakapanood nung Saturday, it's a different kind of game. Ang game show na ang premyo ay tawanan. No money involved, walang prizes na pinag-aawayan kundi kasiyahan, tawanan.

"Dito naso-showcase yung galing sa komedya ng ating mga kasama, si Jose [Manalo] 'saka si Wally [Bayola]. And in the future, we will be featuring other comedians.

"Parang kaming tatlo yung pinaka-main, pero sa mga darating na panahon, bibigyan din natin ng pagkakataon, lalo na yung mga baguhan, sa larangan ng pagpapatawa.

"Puro katuwaan lang. Bawal tumawa. Pagka tumawa ka, that's a point against you. At the end of the show, bilangan ng pinakamaraming points or smileys. Sila yung ide-declare na winner."

Vic said the show's participants are not competing for cash prizes.

"Alam niyo yung mga bisita, may mga regalo, may mga gift packs. Pero wala naman talagang contestants, e. Kami-kami lang ang naglalaban. Naglalaban kami kung papaano patawanin yung nagpipigil tumawa," he said.

ON WILLIE REVILLAME. LoL is Vic Sotto's third show in TV5 after Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and My Darling Aswang. Nonetheless, Vic is still more popularly associated with GMA-7 because he is one of the main hosts of the long-running noontime show Eat Bulaga!.

Asked if he's more Kapuso than Kapatid, Vic answered, "Ang home namin, kami nina Pareng Joey [de Leon], nina Tito [Sotto], ni Jose, kung sinong may... Ibig sabihin, kami'y puwedeng makisama sa lahat—Kapuso, Kapamilya, Kapatid, pati kapitbahay. Wala kaming kinikilingan. I can safely say that we are okay with everyone, all the stations.

"Dapat sana ganun, e. Mahirap yung exclusive-exclusive. Although kasama sa competition yun, pero as far as we're concerned, hindi kami exclusively sa any network. Hangga't maaari, if we've been part of a network, part kami ng success, e, ayos na sa amin yun."

Vic was also asked if he has any comment for his new Kapatid in TV5, Willie Revillame, who once engaged in a word war with his close friend and Eat Bulaga! co-host Joey de Leon.

"Wala naman," Vic replied. "E, trabaho... Wala naman kaming... I mean, personally, wala naman kaming problema kay Willie. Baka siya, may problema sa akin, pero ako wala. Ano lang yun, e, nung araw, friendly competition. Wala yun."
