"It's water under the bridge." 

This is how Derek Ramsay described the controversy between his girlfriend Angelica Panganiban and actress Claudine Barretto. (CLICK HERE to read related article.) 

The actor was a bit hesitant to talk about the issue during the media launch of his newest endorsement, Belo Men, last night, October 12, at The Establishment, The Fort, Taguig City.

"It's quiet already, you know," he said. "I don't really know much about... I don't wanna say anything about what happened. I think it's all settled already."

In the event, PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spotted Derek's friend Martin Castro, whose name was dragged into the Angelica-Claudine issue. His presence proved that his friendship with Derek was not affected by the issue that involved their partners. (CLICK HERE to read related article.) 

"Martin's a very, very good friend and he's here to support me. Kung kami ay nagkagalit sa isa't isa? No. We're doing well and our friendship is still intact, and I think we were meant that way," Derek told PEP.

When asked if the issue changed Angelica's relationship with the Castros, Derek replied: "I think this is one big misunderstanding. Both parties think that way. I don't reall want to talk much about it because I don't know all the facts. But, you know, for me, it's one big mistake and sana nga it's over."

Meanwhile, the Magkaribal actor also related that he once spoke to  Raymart after the controversy came out. 

"Last time, we were okay. We never got into a rout, with me and Raymart. When we spoke, we were okay. No rout between us and it's been quiet, so it's water under the bridge... I hope."

The media also asked him for an update about the reported case that Angelica was planning to file against Claudine during the peak of their rift. (CLICK HERE to read related article.) 

"I don't know what's going on legally," Derek said. "All I know, it's now quiet. It's nice that way. Ayaw ko namang magkaaway-away, hindi naman maganda 'yon." 

Then, he said that it's better to just keep quiet about the issue. Derek said, "I think hindi masarap na alam mong may kaaway ka. The truth will come out. I think one day... may pinagsamahan 'yong dalawa [Angelica and Claudine]. 

GRETCHEN AND ANGELICA. On the other hand, Derek happily told the media about the friendship that's building between Angelica and his Magkaribal co-star Gretchen Barretto. 

It can be remembered that earlier this year, the two actresses had a misunderstanding which ended with an apology from Angelica during a television interview. (CICK HERE to read related article.) 

Derek told the media that Angelica visited him on the set of Magkaribal the other day and he said with a smile, "Best friends na silang dalawa [ni Gretchen]."
