Early this evening, October 20, Kris Aquino talked to the press at an event for Goldilocks, a bakeshop she endorses, at Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City. The TV host and actress talked about her new movie Dalaw, her ongoing separation with James Yap, and how she takes care of her children Joshua, 15, and Baby James, 3.
Kris said she's currently busy shooting Dalaw, Star Cinema's entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival. She excitedly told the press about the wedding scene she recently shot with screen partner Diether Ocampo.
She said it took 15 hours just to shoot the wedding scene, which featured a kiss between her and Diether.
"Alam mo kasi, when you're doing a movie, marami talagang anggulo," she said. "It's not like naman pinarami lang ang take. Five angles, eight times, okay? Pero, ang sinabi ko naman dun is, wala naman atang kinasal na sa cheek hinalikan. Kasi, di ba, dapat mo naman iparamdam talaga na nagmamahalan kayo?"
Kris said the kissing scene, her first in the movies after several years, will not cause scandal.
"I have the luxury of not being in a relationship right now, and Diet also is not in a relationship, so wala kaming iniilagan, wala kaming kinakatakutan na baka may magalit sa amin. And, mas tama naman ang portrayal ng characters, at mas nabibigyan mo ng katotohanan. Sobrang binusisi kahapon, kasi nga sabi ko, my God, pagkatapos nito parang ayoko na yatang ikasal. Fifteen hours ako dito.
"E, siyempre, dati may magagalit at meron naman akong pinoprotektahan na damdamin. Pero ngayon naman siguro, okay na kasi, nasa trabaho naman, pinaalam ko naman sa mga anak ko, at sinabi ko, it's only acting," she said.
Kris thinks her sisters understand the context of the kissing scene.
"Sinabi lang na, bakit paulit-ulit? Yun lang. Wala! I mean, parang ano, siguro naman at this point at this time, mga kapatid ko naman nauunawaan nila na I have not done a film in four years," she said.
Besides, Kris said the kiss is needed because "ayaw namin na malugi ang movie. Gusto naming maging makatotohanan yung istorya talaga."
Kris, who's currently pushing for the nullity of her marriage with basketball star James Yap, told the press the movie makes her feel "very positive." This is why she has full energy.
"Siguro kasi, ano talaga, hinahanap ng katawan ko ang trabaho. So on a high ako," she said. "Eto ang nakakatawa. Yung PSG [Presidential Security Group] na nagbabantay sa akin, they take 24 hours shift. Hindi nila kaya araw-araw. E ako, sabi ko, kayang-kaya ko araw-araw at ine-enjoy ko naman. Like, yung kasama ko ngayon, wala sila kahapon. Kasi nga, siguro feeling nila, two minutes lang 'to mapapanood sa screen. Ganito katagal ba sinu-shoot?"
WISH FOR NEXT RELATIONSHIP. According to Kris, she does not engage in any social life nowadays because "wala pang nagkakalakas ng loob."
"Alam naman ng lahat na under process ang annulment ko," she explained. "Siguro, ayoko rin naman na may gawin ako na mapatagal pa or mapahirapan ang sitwasyon."
She also revealed what she's praying for now regarding her next relationship.

If I knew that Kris, will be the First Lady of PNoy, I would have voted for anyone else, but Noynoy Aquino.
