PEP EXCLUSIVE: Jinkee Pacquiao glad that Pacman's recent fight was "well-rested sa intriga"

The life of Jinkee Pacquiao, or Maria Geraldine Jamora-Pacquiao in real life, took a 180-degree turn after the world began noticing her husband's remarkable boxing skills.

In a previous interview, she said, "Hindi ko naisip na mangyayari ito. Noon, lalaban siya, then mananalo, gano'n lang. 'Tapos bigla na lang, sobrang famous na siya."

While Manny Pacquiao was busy attending to all the guests who wanted to have that photo opportunity—or photo op, as everyone says—with him, his wife Jinkee was quietly eating on the sidelines.

She missed her husband's joke about the "kamukha" of Grace Lee (CLICK HERE to read related article), who co-hosted GMA-7's thanksgiving party for the Pambansang Kamao with Chino Trinidad, last November 21 at Studio 6 of the GMA Network Center (Annex).

"Meron nga raw, pero hindi ko naabutan. At pagdating ko, umalis na siya," she said, sounding very casual, when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) mentioned the joke.

The name of the look-alike of the "Chika Minute" segment host was not said out loud at the event, but most people assumed that the Pacman was referring to Krista Ranillo.

It was on the same month last year when a string of controversies—involving numerous sightings of her 31-year-old husband and the 25-year-old actress —made public Jinkee's rocky marriage to Manny.

It did not help that she was also seen shedding tears during a very-public thanksgiving Mass in Los Angeles, California.

"Nung kay Cotto [Miguel], grabe yun. Napakahirap ng fight na yun. Sobra yung stress," Jinkee admitted.

But she looked more relaxed now.

"On nga, e," the 29-year-old wife of the boxing champ agreed. "Well-rested yung mga intriga. Wala talaga. Parang at peace ngayon."

And if she can have her way, she would want more of this "peaceful" life.

"Hindi ko inaano, ha, na kailangan may kontrobersiyal na darating. Pero kasi nung time na yun, yung Cotto fight, talagang sobra. Hiniling to talaga na sana matapos na siya..."

But one thing she learned, she said, was that relationships will always have their ups and downs: "Kung bibigay ka kaagad, yung mga bata kawawa."

As the wife of one of the world's most famous athletes, she can have whatever she wants without looking at the tag price—but fame has its price.

"Masaya na mahirap" was how she described being Mrs. Pacquiao.

"Mahirap din ang kalagayan ko. Habang papalapit na ang fight, sobrang kinakabahan ka na. At kapag may intriga pa, nakadagdag pa yun."
