Former StarStruck V Avenger Piero Vergara can now be seen on ABS-CBN's new teen variety show titled Shout Out. He was introduced yesterday, November 29, as part of the Tuesdelicious group of the teen variety show.

In fact, when the pilot episode of the Kapamilya show was taped live yesterday in Studio 4, he was in the first row of the stage.

PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had the chance to interview Piero briefly regarding his appearance in Shout Out, which airs Monday to Friday from 5 pm to 6 pm.

Did he talk with GMA-7 executives before transferring to rival station ABS-CBN?

"Wala namang formal na paalam," Piero admitted.

Did he sign a contract with ABS-CBN?

"As of now, wala pa naman. I hope there's gonna be one offered."

Piero added, "Alam na rin ng GMA-7 kasi a few days ago, may nagbalita. I have nothing to say talaga [except] I'm here now with ABS-CBN."

Didn't he sign a contract with GMA-7 after being part of StarStruck V?

"I signed it but my mom didn't coz she wanted to bring me home to Cebu."

In an article which appeared in PEP last March 11, it was reported that the StarStruck V stars—including Piero—signed a five-year exclusive contract with GMA Artist Center. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)

PEP has asked GMA Artist Center to comment on this issue but they have not sent their reply. Their response will be published in a separate story.

AUDITIONS FOR SHOUT OUT. Piero said that he and his family already went back to Cebu when he learned about the auditions for Shout Out.

"I auditioned for Shout Out about a month-and-a-half ago," he recalled.

"My mom wanted to bring me home to Cebu coz living in Manila is really expensive. Nahirapan na kami dito [sa Manila] so she brought me back to Cebu."
