Local showbiz welcomed many fresh talents this year, like singer Jovit Baldovino and child star Jillian Ward. These youth showed audiences what they're made of, so it's expected that others will shine too, given the right opportunity in 2011.
PEP listed 12 stars who we believe would make it big next year. Some are new to the industry while some have been around for some time but only now are they being given the time to shine.
And how did we arrive at the list? The editorial team recalled the newbies whose careers were given a boost this year.
We also discussed their popularity meter among the masses.
Then we got a little help from showbiz denizens to gather the names who will most likely be given a break next year.
Looking back, majority of our 2010 BETS really made it big this year, like TV5 going full blast and shaping itself to be a formidable contender to the two top TV networks of the country.
Coco Martin cemented his status as one of the top leading men of ABS-CBN and also as an award-winning actor. His performance in the defunct drama series Tayong Dalawa earned him accolades from different award-giving bodies.
Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio are now considered the top tween stars in the country, headlining prime programs, including First Time, Pilyang Kerubin, and the hit teen-oriented show Tween Hearts.
Melai Cantiveros of PBB double Up, who was also mentioned last year, became one of the most sought-after comediennes.
Akihiro Sato's name also became better known, thanks to his joining reality TV shows that led to his inclusion ang winning Survivor Philippines Celebrity Edition.
Other names in our list last year that made an impact in 2010 are: Erich Gonzales, Jennica Garcia, Maricar Reyes, Paulo Avelino, and StarStruck V's Sarah Lahbati and Rocco Nacino.
Some of the names in our list this year may already be on the brink of showbiz "sikatness" but we believe that this is only the start of everything great for them.
So, read on and don't forget to list down your own roster of celebrities in the comments below.

itaga
hehe
JULIELMO!!!!!!
itago nyo yan sa bato. charot! hahaha
pero ramdam ko, bobongga ang JULIEMO next year!
Sarah Lahbati, magaling sa Little Star. She can be in primetime.
About AGB ratings, ang analysis ko dyan, si MAdam Wilma Galvante ay lilipat na sa TV5. Friends sila ni Madam Joan Maglipon. And I guess close si Madam Joan Maglipon ngayon sa Tv5. So may something in between kung bakit wala ang AGB ratings. Analysis lang po. huwag ma-offend.
sarah has the acting chops to make it big in 2011. watch Little Star before you comment. She owns her role very well, and proves that she's more than just a pretty face.she can make it big in 2011 kung bibigyan lang ng GMA ng chance.
and about sa appeal.. hello mga bulag ba kayo? tapos si Rocco may appeal? hello?
allthe way ang support.
