Excited na ang MYX VJ na si Robin Nievera sa darating na MYX Music Awards na idaraos sa March 15 sa Music Museum sa Greenhills, San Juan.

"I was there last year. I presented Best New Artist, I think with Paolo Valenciano, and to me just going there as a guest lang ha, going to the red carpet, dressing up nice, I was excited the day after and I have nothing to show," pagbabalik-tanaw ni Robin nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) noong Lunes, February 7, sa 9501 restaurant sa ABS-CBN.

During last year's event ay hindi pa MYX VJ si Robin kaya hindi pa gano'n kalaki ang participation niya sa taunang parangal.

"Now, I'm really part of the show," nakangiting sambit ni Robin.

"I don't know what I'm going to do yet. But I'm very excited to meet everyone. All of my favorite artists will be there. I've met a lot this last six months, but I'm looking forward to meeting more, talking to them—it's gonna be fun."

Nagtatanong ba siya sa mga beteranong VJs kung ano ang karaniwang nagaganap tuwing sasapit ang annual awards night ng MYX?

"I don't ask them. They just talk about it like, 'Remember that time...' and I can't relate because I'm still new.

"So I'm excited to be part of the stories next year. I hear only good things about it, like they have so much fun, and I'm excited to have fun with them."

NOT AN EASY JOB. Isa sa itinuturing na "coolest jobs," partikular ng mga kabataan, ang pagiging VJ o video jock.

Bagamat aminado si Robin na masaya ang kanyang trabaho ay sinabi rin niya na kailangan pa rin ng tiyaga at talento para maging matagumpay sa larangan ng pagpepresenta ng music videos.

"Before, while watching MYX, before I say 'That looks like a very easy job.' Kasi they're talking lang, maybe may script, maybe may [tele]prompter, but it's really difficult," sabi ni Robin.

"It's more difficult than what people would see. I thought I knew a lot about music, but I didn't know enough. I didn't know that the responsibility of being a VJ on MYX is pretty hard.

"Kasi I have to know what I'm saying even if there is a script, and most of the time, there's no script, we're just talking whatever that comes to our heads, and that's not easy."
