Hindi pa natatagalan ang pakikipagkasundo nina Nonito Donaire, Jr. at Rachel Donaire sa pamilya ng Filipino boxer, at hindi pa nalulutas ang alitan nila sa mga miyembro ng media na inaakusahan nila na nagpalaki sa kanilang family feud, pero may bagong kaaway na naman ang mag-asawa—ang Top Rank promoter na si Bob Arum.

Si Arum ang kinikilala bilang isa sa mga powerful sa mundo ng boxing at promoter ni Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

Naririto sa Pilipinas si Arum dahil dinalaw niya ang boxing training sa Baguio City ni Pacman. Nakatakdang lumaban si Pacquiao kay Shane Mosley sa May 7.

Sa exclusive interview sa kanya ng www.MPboxing.com, nagsalita ang sikat na boxing promoter tungkol sa pag-alis ni Nonito, Jr. sa Top Rank Promotions at sa paglipat nito sa Golden Boy Promotions ni Oscar dela Hoya.

Ang misis ni Nonito Jr. na si Rachel ang sinisisi ni Arum sa desisyon ni Nonito Jr. na lumipat sa rival company ng Top Rank.

Pero sa presscon ng Mariko Skin & Body Centre noong Biyernes, March 18, sinabi ni Nonito, Jr. na "free agent" ito kaya walang problema sa paglipat niya sa Golden Boy Promotions. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)

Iginiit ni Arum na may kontrata si Donaire sa Top Rank hanggang sa susunod na taon kaya hahantong sa legal battle ang kanilang usapin.

"The lawyers will handle it from now on. I gotta move on to other things. I mean, it's not like I got like another Manny Pacquiao. He's a bantamweight and he wants to go up and I got four fighters who probably could beat him. You know, Lopez, Gamboa, you know, or Rigondeaux. I mean, he's not going to beat those guys, or even if he would beat 'em, he's not going to beat all of them... I don't know who he's going to fight after that, but again, it's not big business.

"With Nonito Donaire, you get a rights fee from television. He's not a pay-per-view fighter; the Filipinos don't support him. We had him on pay-per-view, we did no buys. You know, truth [is], when he fought Montiel, it was all Mexicans, very few Filipinos.

"He hasn't connected with the Filipinos and I think, largely, it's because of her [Rachel Donaire]. I think the Filipinos can't stand her. You know, how dare her! She criticizes the way Jinkee [Pacquiao, Manny's wife] dresses. Is she crazy? She's all tarted up and she criticizes the way... Sa interbyu pa rin kay Arum ni Lem Satterfield ng www.boxingscene.com noong March 19, sinabi ng Top Rank promoter na "Donaire maybe suffering from Pacquiao jealousy."

Dagdag niya, "It's really just sad that, you know, we did everything that we possibly could for Nonito Donaire. And, the jealousy that she [Rachel] particularly showed to the top fighter in the world, Manny Pacquiao, who happens to be a Filipino like her husband, would have to be what motivated her into doing what she did. If that's the pattern that she followed, being motivated by jealousy of another person, I feel sorry for her and for Nonito Donaire.

"I dont want to speculate on anything  We're in the judicial process, and we're going to let it play out... All that I have to say is based on reading that article, the green monster has gotten a hold of her [Rachel]... And once that happens, whether it's jealousy of Manny Pacquiao or jealousy of something else, all that that does is destroy people."
