Ipinangako ni Arnell Ignacio sa sarili na hindi siya titigil hangga't hindi napaparusahan ang tatlong pulis na sinampahan niya ng kasong extortion o panghuhuthot.
Nangyari ang insidente noong March 26 ng gabi sa harap ng Valle Verde Gate 4, Julia Vargas Avenue, Pasig City. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)
Sina PO3 Jose Levy Llagas, PO3 Neil Pono, at PO1 Jose Lasala ang tatlong miyembro ng Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) na kinasuhan ni Arnell ng extortion.
Sa kuwento ni Arnell sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), gulat na gulat ang mga suspect nang pagharapin sila at kilalanin niya.
"Nakaharap ko na sila at in-identify. Gulat na gulat yung tatlo," sabi niya.
"I'm vigorously campaigning for other victims of these scalawags. So far, five have already surfaced. PNP-HPG has filed a criminal case against these cops, aside from administrative action. Ang lima na lumantad will file a case against the same set of police.
"I spoke with Civil Service Commissioner Francisco Duque, too. Kinausap ko si Commissioner Duque, na ka-brother namin sa Manila Sports Car Club para sa civil service action.
"Nagkamali sila ng pakikialaman. Ako ang bading na aabot ang talak sa kasuhan! Pati pension nila, lusaw!
"In fact, ngayong umaga, sasampahan naman sila ng criminal charges aside from administrative charges."
Inaamin ni Arnell na may takot siyang nararamdaman sa pakikipaglaban sa mga pulis na inakusahan niya ng extortion, pero sobra na raw ang pagtitiis ng mga Pilipino sa mga ganitong klase ng pang-aabuso.
Kung may ipinagpapasalamat si Arnell, ito ay ang suportang natatanggap niya mula sa mga tao na humahanga sa tapang na kanyang ipinakikita. Ang pagkakakilala kasi ng marami kay Arnell ay isa itong nakakatawa at witty TV host, minsa'y naiintriga sa mga guwapong binata, at palakaibigán at dinadaan ang lahat sa biro. Hindi nila akalaing matapang pala ito kapag nasaling.
"Nakakatakot," sambit ni Arnell tungkol sa pinasok na laban, "pero tinatrabaho ko lahat 'to para umabot sila hanggang sa kulungan."
Dagdag niya, "Si PNP-HPG Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina, talagang sineseryoso ang kasuhan. Pinadalhan nila ako ng bodyguards.
"Sobra na tayong matagal na nagtitiis sa ganitong pang-aabuso. Di naman puwede sa print, Facebook, at Twitter lang tayo lalaban."
Hinihikayat ni Arnell na lumantad at magsampa ng reklamo laban sa mga "hulidap pulis" ang ibang mga biktima na piniling manahimik dahil sa takot.
