"I'm maarte and I'm also torpe. I don't know how to talk to girls anymore. And I've been through a lot. I know what I want now."

These were the reasons that KC Montero gave when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked him about his decision to stay single for now.

It may be remembered that the radio jock was with singer-actress Geneva Cruz for seven years, before they separated last year. The relationship they had was another reason KC pointed out for not going into another romantic relationship.

At the press conference of his new weekly show on TV5, called Lupet, held this afternoon, April 6, at Cravings Restaurant, Tomas Morato, Quezon City, KC mentioned his respect for Geneva.

"Well, it's not that I haven't found anybody but I am also being very respectful to her [Geneva]. I don't think it's maybe the right time for all of these.

"Because I know that as soon as I find a girlfriend, if I find a girlfriend, it's going to be a big deal and I don't... I'd rather like [have it] when she may be okay with the situation," he explained.

Although KC and Geneva have already separated, they still communicate with each other once in a while.

"I don't hear much that often, but I do talk to her once in a while," said KC.

Then, he remembered, "I greeted her 'Happy Birthday.' She's very busy right now, working on an album, and she's finally coming, getting close to finishing it. So, I'm proud of her for doing that part."

Aside from the album, KC also approves of Geneva's latest sexy advertisement for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia.

The Party Pilipinas (GMA-7) host said, "It's a very nice ad, actually, and I like it. She has done one before and it's for a cause.

"She firmly believes in what's she's doing there, and it's not bastos."

He added, "I'm proud of her. She's very passionate about the things she's doing, so I support her in whatever she does in life."

KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH HEAVEN. Meanwhile, despite the long distance, KC maintains a close relationship with Heaven, Geneva's son with first husband and former Introvoys drummer Paco Arespacochaga.

"I talk to him often. We Skype, Facebook. Nagtu-twit [Tweeter message] siya sa akin," KC said, after saying how much he missed the kid.
