It's official: Vic Sotto and Senator Bong Revilla are the Box-Office Kings and Ai-Ai delas Alas is the Box-Office Queen of 2010

Senator Bong Revilla and Vic Sotto (top) and Ai-Ai delas Alas (bottom) were named Box-Office Kings and Box-Office Queen at last night's deliberation for the 42nd Box-Office Entertainment Awards.

Ginanap kagabi, April 8, ang deliberation ng mga hurado para sa 42nd Box-Office Entertainment Awards ng Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc.(GMMSFI) sa Danes Publishing House, Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City.

Itinanghal na Box-Office Kings sina Vic Sotto at Senator Bong Revilla, at Box-Office Queen naman si Ai-Ai delas Alas.

Ang kanilang entries sa 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival na Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote (para kina Vic at Bong) at Ang Tanging Ina Mo: Last Na 'To (para kay Ai-Ai) ang topgrossers sa lahat ng mga pelikulang ipinalabas noong 2010, ayon sa record na nakuha ng GMMSFI.

Sina John Lloyd Cruz at Bea Alonzo naman ang napiling Film Actor and Actress of the Year. Nagbalik-tambalan ang Kapamilya loveteam na ito sa blockbuster hit na Miss You Like Crazy, samantalang naging matagumpay rin ang solo projects nila—ang My Amnesia Girl para kay John Lloyd at Sa 'Yo Lamang ni Bea.

Ang ABS-CBN stars na sina Coco Martin at Toni Gonzaga ang itinanghal na Prince and Princess of Philippine Movies. Napanood sila last year sa Sa 'Yo Lamang at My Amnesia Girl, respectively, na parehong iprinodyus ng Star Cinema.

Ang Agua Bendita stars na sina Matteo Guidicelli at Andi Eigenmann naman ang napili ng GMMSFI bilang Most Promising Male and Female Stars.

Ang coronation at awards night ay gaganapin sa RCBC Plaza, Makati City:

Male Recording Artist of the Year: Christian Bautista

Female Recording Artist of the Year: Sarah Geronimo

Promising Singer/Performer: Jovit Baldivino

Most Popular Recording/Performing Group: Parokya ni Edgar

Most Promising Recording/Performing Group: XLR8

Most Popular Novelty Singers: Chris Tsuper & Nicole Hyala

Most Popular Love Team of Movies & TV: Gerald Anderson & Kim Chiu

Most Promising Love Team: Elmo Magalona & Julie Ann San Jose

Most Popular Male/Female Child Performer: Jillian Ward

    Obviously may aregluhang naganap kaya nanalo si Ai-Ai. Why will Guillermo change the cut-off from Dec. 31, 2010 to Jan. 2011?his is 2010 Box Office Awards not 2011 Box Office Awards ! Niloloko nila ang mga tao. Nasa rules nila dati na ang cut-off ay Dec. 31, 2010 kaya nga noon ang naging 2008 Box Office Queen si Sarah at hindi si Ai Ai. PERO NGAYON, inbiga nila. Pa iba-iba ng rules ang Guillermo Mendoza. DAPAT PALITAN NA ANG GUILLERMO MENDOZA dahil hindi na sila fair at credible. Ibang award-giving body dapat ang magbigay ng BOX OFFICE AWARDS.

    why don't you shut your mouth and congratulate the winners? may this be dirty or not, its their recognition. if you want your artist be recognize, 2 things. improve their acts or set up your own award giving body. i am a GMA 7 viewer yet this should not affect anyone except to work harder to be recognize....
