Bukod sa epicserye ng GMA-7 na Amaya, abala rin si Marian Rivera sa pagsu-shooting ng dalawang pelikula—ang Temptation Island ng Regal Films at GMA Films, at Ang Panday 2 ng Imus Productions at GMA Films.
Sabay-sabay ginagawa ni Marian ang tatlong proyektong ito, bukod pa sa weekly sitcom niya sa Kapuso network na Show Me Da Manny.
Kaya nga biro ng PEP.ph (Philippine Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Marian, hindi ba siya nalilito sa dami ng characters na ginagampanan niya ngayon?
Lalo na sa Amaya na sinaunang babae ang role niya, samantalang sa Temptation Island naman ay isang modernong "babaeng bakla" ang role niya.
"Hindi naman... 'Ay, sa Temptation, ako dito si Cristina, malandi ako dito. O, pag Show Me Da Manny, si Marian lang, walang effort.
"Ang pagiging bading, walang challenge 'yan sa akin, bilang bakla naman ako sa totoong buhay!" tawa niya.
Nakausap ng PEP at iba pang piling entertainment editors si Marian sa pocket presscon na inihanda ng GMA-7 para sa aktres at leading men niya sa Amaya.
Kasama rito sina Sid Lucero at Mikael Daez kahapon, May 17, sa 17th floor ng GMA Network Center.
THE CHALLENGE. "Ito yung challenge talaga sa akin," patuloy ng aktres.
"Kasi yung Temptation Island... Hindi ko sinabing nagawa ko na before, pero for the first time, tinanggap ko 'tong Temptation na si Azenith kasi doon, na ginagampanan ko dun, as Cristina G, e, pinakamalandi sa lahat.
"Maharot talaga siya, which is hindi ko naman ginagawa sa buong buhay ko sa soap opera.
"Pero dito sa Temptation, makikita nila yun.
"Ngayon lang talaga ako nagpa-sexy—na literal na sexy. Pero, sexy na nakakatawa, ginawan ko ng twist.
"Kasi noon, si Azenith, malandi lang siya na sexy.
"Ako, ginawa ko, malandi ako dito, maharot, sexy, pero nakakatawa ako."
Ang role ni Marian ay unang ginampanan ng dating beauty queen at aktres na si Azenith Briones sa original Temptation Island movie na ipinalabas noong 1980.
Hindi ba siya nagulat na kaya pala niyang gumanap ng gano'ng klaseng role?
"Nakakatawa lang kasi at ease ako, kasi kasama ko sila Lovi [Poe], sila Heart [Evangelista].
"Nagkaroon ng bonding with Solenn [Heussaff], Rufa Mae Quinto, na parang okay lang.
"Tapos, bago pa kasi nagsimula itong shooting ng Temptation, nag-one-on-one na kami ni Direk Chris."
