Sa pagbubukas ng bagong shop ng Tomato clothing brand sa Market! Market! mall sa Taguig, noong June 10, ay present ang Kapuso model-actor na si Fabio Ide.
Nakapanayam siya ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at sinabi nitong first time niyang maimbitahan ng nasabing clothing brand.
"It is actually the first time I'm doing this event for them.
"I'm a bit familiar because my friend used to do a job [for the brand].
"I know they get foreigners most of the time for their campaign, for their pictures, endorsements inside their store."
ON HIS CAREER. Bago pa man maging artista, ay modelo na si Fabio sa iba't ibang bansa.
Katulad nila Akihiro Sato at Daniel Matsunaga, Brazilian-Japanese din si Fabio. Kaya naman medyo hirap pa si Fabio sa pananagalog.
Ganunpaman, mas gusto na niyang manatili dito sa Pilipinas at mag-focus sa kanyang career.
"Gusto ko talaga dito," sabi ng Kapuso talent.
"'Yung feeling ko, masaya, masarap talaga kasi binigyan ako ng madaming opportunity, magandang experience ito para sa akin,
"'Tsaka now I'm more focused in showbiz, compared to modeling.
"Modeling is more like before, kasi I used to travel around.
"So now I'm really settling down here,
"I'm just trying to improve my acting skills and do acting workshops, singing lessons, dancing lessons.
"'Tsaka meron akong teacher na nagtuturo sa akin ng Tagalog, dalawang beses isang linggo."
Sa kasalukuyan, mapapanood si Fabio sa Andres de Saya at Comedy Bar. Pero hindi lang 'yon ang dapat abangan daw.
"Now I just signed a contract with Regal Films,
"So sana by the end of this year I have a movie to come out.
"I can't tell you guys about it but sigurado [yun]."
ON RUFA MAE. Si Fabio ay isa sa mga lalake na na-link sa sexy Kapuso actress-comedian na si Rufa Mae Quinto.
Nagkasama ang dalawa sa dating show ng GMA-7, Dwarfina, na pinagbidahan ni Heart Evangelista at Dennis Trillio.
Bagaman paulit-ulit ng idine-deny ng dalawa ang issue, hindi ito mawala-wala.
"A lot of people are saying that we have something, pero hindi totoo po.
"Hindi ko siya nililigawan, kaibigan, super kaibigan kami." Paliwanag ni Fabio.
Bago pa man daw sila magkasama sa Dwarfina, ay matagal na silang magkakilala, kabaligtaran daw ng alam ng karamihan na sa nasabing show lang sila unang nagkasama.
Pero wala man silang relasyon, inamin ni Fabio na nae-enjoy niya ang company ni Peachy (palayaw ni Rufa Mae).
"I really like her.
"She's really a good friend, mabait siya, matalino, nakakatawa, super nice person to be with, to hang out with,
"Pero hindi, [walang] malisya,
"[We're] really just friends, really just friends."
Last year ay nag-break si Fabio at ang kanyang girlfriend, si Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2006 winner, Lia Andrea Ramos.
Apat na taon din tumagal ang kanilang relasyon, kaya naman hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa raw handa si Fabio na muling magka-girlfriend.
"I just broke up, me and my ex- girl friend just broke up, I was with her for four years.
"Pero because we broke up and I've been in that relationship for so long, now I'm really focused talaga sa trabaho ko. Mas marami akong oras para mag-focus sa trabaho ko.
"Siyempre I go out, I can meet someone, pero I'm really not ready to be in a relationship."
Pero kung sakali man daw maging open na siya na pumasok sa panibagong relasyon, ang gusto ni Fabio ay "someone who is very smart, very funny, athletic, loves to travel and loves to have fun, no matter what."
