Sarah Geronimo declines Angeline Quinto's invite to debut concert

Star Power Angeline Quinto (main photo) is slated to stage her first major concert on July 15. The young singer invited Sarah Geronimo (inset) to her concert, but the Pop Princess also has a concert that night in Cebu.

Sarah Geronimo will not be able to make it to Angeline Quintos's debut concert on July 15, reports ABS-CBN News.

Angeline, in her Showbiz News Ngayon's interview explains that her invitation was turned down by an apologetic Sarah who explained that she has a previously set concert.

The Pop Star Princess, who just returned from almost a month's dance and singing lessons in Los Angeles, is set to perform in a concert with Martin Nievera which is also slated on July 15.

The Popstar Princess and Concert King's What Love Is Tour hit Iloilo last Friday, July 8 and their next stop is Cebu's Waterfront Hotel, concurrent with Quinto's show.

Quinto is nonetheless looking forward to Regine Velasquez's guesting in her debut concert as Asia's Songbird is reportedly her idol.

She remarks, "Nandoon po si Ms. Regine Velasquez. Talagang excited po ako sa mangyayari sa concert ko sa Skydome at iniimbitahan ko kayong manood. Sana ay makanood kayo."

The two performers who comprise the Kapamilya network's powerhouse of talented singers have been purported rivals (CLICK HERE here to read related story).

The alleged competition however is belied by the friendly and professional relationship that both singers keep.

siguro mas may K naman si sarah na mag-decline. magugulat na lang ako kung it's the other way around... no offense meant... at saka naman ang title, pampa-attract lang ng readers. hindi naman eng eng si sarah na mag accept ng commitment na hindi nya kayang daluhan. alangan naman unahin pa nyang mag appear sa concert ni angeline kaysa sa concert nila ni martin? duh?

sa showdown last Sunday sa ASAP ROCKS nina Angeline and Marcelito Pomoy mas maganda pa ang boses ni Marcelito kaysa kay Angeline. Ang big threat ngayon kay Angeline ay si Marcelito. Mag-isip-isip na ang kampo ni Angeline ng bagong strategy at ilalampaso siya ni Marcelito.

I hate Sarah. To the bones. I don't know. All this nice and angelic image that is supposed to help her endorsements for example - cebuana lhuiller, nescafe, sunsilk - doesn't do anything to lessen the ka-plastikan that reeks in her bones. and please. i don't really believe her talent deserves that kind of attention. and she's gradually proving to be a non-bankable star na. let's not forget Idol's miserable demise. not even her loyal fans here helped raise the viewership statistics. i wish sarah all the worst in her career.

I agree. Mali talaga ang strategy nila - ganun ba sila kadesperate? Baka nga. Sana isipin ng kampo ni Angeline ang impact ng ginagawa nila sa pagpublicize nila kay AQ has a lingering effect. I know they are desperate to make AQ's concert successful and that they're willing to do ALMOST anything. Kaya lang ang problem is...kung ano man ang tactic nila ngayon would forever hurt AQ's career. Tingnan nyo nangyari kay Cristine Reyes? Demoted na sya, ndi na sya pangprimetime. What they're doing for AQ would really put a dent in her career, kabagu-bago pa man lang din nya - hindi sya nabigyan ng chance. Siguro kung iba ang approach ng camp nila, she may get recognized. I've nothing against AQ, I think she has a good voice - but because of what's been done kay Sarah G, ehhh pasensyahan na lang.

kami namang mga fans ni sg ay inaacknowledge si aq nung una na nanalo sya kaso bakit twing me issue kay aq kakabit parati name ni sarah at alging nega ang dating ni sarah. sa mga fans na kagaya ko nakakairita at tipong ang abs ay me instruction na kay aq kung papano isasabit ang name ni sg twing me interview sa kanya....kaya sorry na alng kay aq walang suportang makukuha sakin ang abs para sa new talent nila. mali kasi taktika ng abs dapat pinalalabas nilang friends talaga yun dalawa and they help each other para sana ang fans will support them together kaso iniaangat nila si aq pero gusto nila ibagsak career ni sarah kaya wrong move talaga..look ang hina ng sales ng ticket sa concert ni aq siguro sasagutin na lang ni mega yun empty sit para masulit ang production cost.

come to think of it Sarah G is still very young and new sa industry para pagbasakin. Iyong iba nga ilang decada na ayaw pang mag give-up sa so-called title or place nila sa showbiz. bakit di iyon kaya subukan i-demolition ng ABS-CBN. instead na ang isang batang artist like Sarah na currently at her prime, tapos tunay mabait naman at tunay na di plastik at masunurin sa magulang. why ABS-CBN?

Noong manalo si Sarah sa Star for a Night, how many years ba ang dumaan bago siya nakilala worldwide? Si Angeline ay ilang buwan pa lang e kilala na worldwide via TFC. Kung maging ungrateful si Sarah sa ABS, unti-unti siyang maglalaho sa eksena. Angeline could easily bloom into a full fledge actress kasi malalim ang karanasan niya sa buhay. Bagay si Sarah sa romantic comedies,pwede siguro si Angeline sa dramatic roles. Kung patuloy na magiging defensive ang fans ni Sarah, they would be doing a disservice to their idol. Magbigay din kayo ng puwang sa isang baguhan na mayroon naman talagang talent. I like both of them as of now.

No offense sa mga fans ng batang 'to pero hndi q rin xa gus2,obvious pang-gagaya nya ke Regine eh tsaka pag may write-up xa lagi nlng kakabit c Sarah,parang nang-ggmit na un dating eh.May boses nman pero parang common lng eh,mrmi na xang katunog.Sori but I dont think she will make it as big as Regine or Sarah.

Very well said Lefty.....To ABS, pls tigilan nyo na ang demolition plan nyo kay Sarah. Di ba nga, she already declined yong offer ng kapatid channel to have her own show at napunta na kay Nina dahil ayaw nga nyang umalis sa inyo. Bakit pa kailangan nyo syang siraan at gamitin para lang i-ingat itong walang katalent-talent na alaga nyo, ang alamlang eh bumirit and thats it.Wala sya kahit sa kalingkingan man lang ni Sarah....Wala syang mass appeal and charisma at all. Nagmumukha lang syang TH. It's like comparing apples and oranges.Pag ganyan kayo ng ganyan, baka mapunta na nga sa iba at pagsisihan nyo yan in the end.Nakaka-piss off na eh, tama na mga USER....
