"I've always had the impression na pag ang artista makita natin maganda yung house, maganda 'yong gamit, alam nating lahat na nanggaling 'yong kita from this endorsement, from this show. Daily nakikita mo so you know where the money came from. So you don't begrudge that person for having that money," says Kris Aquino.

This September, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino opens her doors to YES! in a 44-page feature of her new luxurious residential condominium.

"This is really me. Gusto ko talaga ng makulay, happy, bright colors. Ayoko ng minimalist!" Kris says of her new space.

Kris occupies two adjacent units with total size 638-square-meters which are both under a trust for the benefit of her two sons, Joshua and Bimby.

Her love for colors is evident in the bright color schemes of both units, whose color palettes are composed of reds, purples, and pinks.

Cynthia Almario, Kris's interior designer, describes the units as "glamorous and luxurious" and says, "Working with Kris was a breeze as she has a clear-cut and specific likes and dislikes about the look that she wanted for her units."

Many of Kris's possessions were inherited from her mom, the late Corazon Aquino, while others were from their Valle Verde II home, which she shared with estranged husband James Yap.

Her home is filled with various knick-knacks that make interesting centerpieces in the house—plush balls, topiaries, frog figurines, and golden Buddhas.

YES! features over 100 photos of every nook and cranny in Kris's home, and she says, "It was ingrained in me talaga na if you want to have a nice home and all, you work hard."

Every piece in her home is a testament to how hard she has worked, as she adds, "I've always had the impression na pag ang artista makita natin maganda yung house, maganda 'yong gamit, alam nating lahat na nanggaling 'yong kita from this endorsement, from this show. Daily nakikita mo so you know where the money came from. So you don't begrudge that person for having that money."

This month's issue of YES! magazine also gives you a sneak peek inside Kris's pink-studded room, Bimby's bedroom inspired by the animated film Toy Story, and Joshua's jeepney bed!

Also, Kris clarifies rumors linking her to Chiz Escudero, Diether Ocampo, and JunJun Binay, and answers every question that YES! throws her way.

Houses of stars that I love - John Lloyd Cruz's house, Megastar's, even Boy Abunda. I like the grace and sophistication of those houses. Timeless, classic, traditional in feel. Pero that's just me. And maybe that's why I dont care much for Kris' condo.

...Pero that house, along with her 'walang habas'na pagmamayabang abt what she has infront of everyone who are not as fortunate, I find that annoying. Its good to live grand, lalo at pinaghirapan mo naman kitain ang pinambili mo nito. But I think its ethical to enjoy it without flagrantly showing off what you have to people who are mostly just barely subsisting above the poverty line. A lot of society folks also enjoy the lap of luxury, but most people dont see them brag abt it the way Gretchen and Kris do so blatantly. I think, THAT, more than the house really, is the epitome of tack.

Ivy and Cynthia Almario are great avant-garde, contemporary, world-class designers and its unfair to cast blame solely on them if some people find Kris' abode over-the-top. Firstly, it was Kris who insisted on the ube walls. The Almarios also had to work around Kris' already existing French antique furnishings..like the big glass table with the gold base she inherited from Cory. So, I think the Almarios did what they could. I think the blame lies on the fact that Kris couldn't decide between contemporary chic, and old-world opulence. Sometimes blending the two can create something very beautiful...in this case, not a lot of people agree that it is. Well, at least it is a big improvement fromits former state when she just moved in and had gold furnishings everywhere! THAT, was undoubtedly tacky. The unfortunate part is, THAT was Kris' design herself, not the improved version of the Almarios. I dont hate Kris..I find her entertaining, and I am sure I would enjoy having a kikay friend like her.

Ang OA at Baduy ng bahay mo....Sabi nga nila...the home tells what kind of a person lives there...in this case , it is very evident..

I think you're the type of person na walang personalidad. Nakailang session ka na ba sa psychiatrist? Gosh! you must really need a hug. Ingles ka ng Ingles pero you sound like a cheap ingetera.

I just got my copy today... reading YES! is my tension releasing therapy like.. it was awesome! I am interested to see Kris' house... and it was really luxurious, really nice and so bright... I liked it a lot.. no matter how many people would unnice words towards her.. its undeniably she's a queen herself, in her own way, may we like it or not.. no matter, Kris has her own good traits, thats why many people trust her, kaya nga daming endorsements.. she's honest, generous etc etc... it was really nice reading YES! natapos ko agad...and i will definitely read it again.. Next issue please hehehe

I agree with no. 27.
