"Before I found out that I was pregnant, before he left here for the first time, he went to my house and asked my dad if he could marry me.

"My dad said, 'Wait first. Give it two years or a little bit more.' Nag-bonding naman sila ng family ko.

"He asked me again to marry him when he found out that I was pregnant.

"And I said that I wanted to see how we would be as parents. We're working on it and I said that my number one priority is our son."

For now, Denise says that she is not yet prepared to settle down.

"It's hard to say [if and when they will get married] because my number one priority is our son and it should be his priority as well.

"Para naman if we do get married, he can take care of the serious stuff and I can take care of the stuff that will spoil our son."

How long have they been a couple?

"Naku, pinahirapan ko muna siya bago naging kami. I made him have a hard time!" she said with a laugh.

"Wala pa namang years kami together, pero he made me ligaw talaga and for a foreigner, hindi naman uso sa kanila ang manligaw.

"Mga six or seven months [siya nanligaw.]

"He was really sincere and he even wrote a letter to my parents."

Denise also prefers not to show her son to the public for now.

"Ako, if I could, I want to show him off... he's so cute. Pero maybe when he's four or five years old, pag nakakasalita na siya."

What characteristics did her son inherit from her and the father?

"He has Laurel eyes, yung shape ng mata niya sa Laurel.

"Yung kulay ng mata, sa side ng mom ko na Spanish, kasi yung mata niya gray.
