Sa susunod na linggo ay magpa-file na ang abugado ni Jennylyn Mercado ng affidavit of desistance para pormal nang iurong ang kasong falsification of documents na isinampa ng aktres laban sa dati niyang personal assistant na si Mel Pulmano.

Narito ang kabuuang statement ni Jennylyn kaugnay ng desisyon niyang ito:

"I decided to file an affidavit of desistance, not because I believe Mel is not guilty, but because I want to move on with my life and not let those negativities in the past affect my life anymore.

"There are a lot of good things that are happening to my career and personal life now, and it is better for me to move forward with a positive outlook and optimism.

"I know that we are in charge of how we react to events in our lives, and now I take control and choose to focus on things that are more important.

"I know that in time, the law of karma will prevail and people will get what they really deserve."
