Despite the heavy rain and strong winds brought about by Typhoon Pedring, Ms. Lorna Tolentino agreed to push through with her scheduled interview with select members of the press last night, September 27, at the Heat restaurant, EDSA Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.

Earlier that afternoon, she signed a one-year exclusive contract with TV5. Present during the contract signing were Ms. Lorna's manager Lolit Solis, executive vice president and COO Roberto Barreiro, and TV5 CEO and president Rey Espinosa.

Why did Ms. Lorna decide to transfer from ABS-CBN to TV5?

"Kasi, Channel 2 offered me 85 working days for a year, then Channel 5 offered me 140 days of work for one year. Yun ang difference," she explained. "And they know naman, nagpaalam ako."

She then gave details about her guaranteed contract with the Kapatid Network. "Three shows yun since three months ang isang serye nila. Plus one movie.

"Yung sa ABS-CBN, 85 working days lang, e, parang one teleserye lang yun.

"Ang Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, umabot ako ng 80 taping days."

Did she find it difficult to switch networks?

"Hindi naman kasi sa edad ko na ngayon, hindi naman mahirap.

"Kung bata ako, mahihirapan siguro ako. Kung parang Bea Alonzo, or kung talagang sila ang nag-groom sa akin, mahirap siguro na mag-decide na ganun.

"Maraming senior stars na nakakapag-work sa iba't ibang istasyon."

Did she also consider the talent fee as the basis of her decision?

"No, it's not really about that. It's really the number of working days."

What is her basis for choosing one network over another?

"Kung saan ang mas makakabuti for me. Gustung-gusto ko magtrabaho with Channel 2.
