Ito ang first concert together ng Concert King na si Martin Nievera at ng isa sa mga itinuturing the No. 1 bands ng bansa, ang Side A band.
Ang nasabing concert ay gaganapin sa November ngayong taon, sa Smart-Araneta Coliseum at ididirek ni GB Sampedro.
Maagang dumating si direk GB na pumayag magpa-interview muna habang di pa nagsisimula ang press conference.
Wala pa si Martin sa venue, pero ang Side A, ay nagri-rehearse na.
Marami na ring nahawakang concerts si Direk GB, pero first time ba niyang idirek sina Martin at Side A?
"Si Martin, ako ang nagdirek ng music video nila ni Sarah [Geronimo] ng concert nilang What Love Is," sagot ni direk GB.
"Pero ang Side A, first time lang talaga. And I'm excited and honored na ako ang kinuha ng Viva Concerts & Events dahil ito ang magki-kick-off ng series of events that will coincide sa 30th celebration ng Viva.
Ayon sa press release, it was in November 11, 1971 when Viva Films was inaugurated with the showing of the romantic drama PS I Love You nina Sharon Cuneta at Gabby Concepcion.
Viva started out as a movie company but has since branched out into recording, television, artists management, videos, concerts and events and other entertainment concerns.
Coincidentally, both Martin and Side A also had their first big hits while with Vicor Music Corporation, the music company founded by Viva Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Vic del Rosario, Jr.
Martin wrote the lyrics of the popular theme for one of Viva's most successful movies, You Are My Song for Wanted: Perfect Mother that starred Christopher de Leon and Regine Velasquez.
Side A has also recorded albums and videos for Viva Records.
