Four months after suffering her latest heartbreak, Rachelle Ann Go said she feels unbreakable, but she clarified that her current state of mind isn't the reason why she named her latest recording as such.
"Meron akong song sa album na 'Unbreakable' ang title," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the promotional tour of her CD held on October 7 at the Glorietta Activity Center.
"It's written by Judy Klass and Jimmy Borja. Parang ang ganda lang niya na title sa album.
"Last year ko pa pinag-iisipan 'yan at thankful ako na nagkatotoo."
She's also thankful that "Whispered Fear," the song she wrote four years, is part of her 14-track album.
"Marami na akong nasulat na kanta, pero ngayon ang ako nagkalakas ng loob na i-record," she intoned.
"I wrote the melody and the lyrics, tapos pina-arrange ko kay Mark Lopez.
"Sana sa next album ko puro o kaya nakakarami ang original composition ko."
She described her first recorded songwriting effort as an inspirational ballad.
"Dumadating tayo sa buhay na parang ang lungkot, naguguluhan. Bigla ko na lang siyang nasulat.
"Si God talaga yung hindi iiwan sa atin," she explained on how she wrote "Whispered Fear."
FULLY RECOVERED. The singer and now songwriter cited personal experiences—whether her own or other people's—as her main source of material for her compositions.
She just won't say which ones were culled from her lovelife. But she revealed she has already recovered from her failed relationship with actor and TV host John Prats.
Rachelle Ann and John started dating late last year until rumors of a breakup swirled in June, reportedly because of his closeness with his Happy Yipee Yehey co-host Bianca Manalo.
John eventually announced on his noontime show that he's single once more while a dazed Rachelle Ann, in an interview later on with a showbiz program, gave the impression that she was the last to know about the separation.
