"Dati tumigil ako sa pagpo-produce... Now I'm back!"

This was Rufa Mae Quinto's declaration last night, October 12, during the press conference of her new GMA-7 primetime show titled Daldalita.

She is cast as Cherry, the girlfriend of Mateo (played by Ogie Alcasid). She becomes jealous of the attention given by her boyfriend to his child Daldalita (played by Jillian Ward).

The sexy comedienne says that she is now part of a production company called Brown Sugar Productions.

"Kung titingnan mo lahat kami, ako lang ang babae diyan. Ang advantage namin, puro mga bagets ang producer," she says with a smile.

Aside from Rufa Mae, the other members of the group include Boy2 Quizon, Bullet Jalosjos, Martin Aviles, and Miguel Vasquez.

"Itong grupo na 'to, meron na silang sariling advertising company.

"Yung On Q-28 Productions [her own production company], local lang yun. Ito international.

"Gusto ko mag-upgrade pero siyempre, I'm representing Filipinos na rin," she says with pride.

"International ang production house namin kaya may mga projects kami na gagawin... may dalawang movies kaming gagawin.

"Ang next movie na gagawin ko, meron yung soundtrack and kasama na rin ang album."

She also told PEP.ph that as early as now, there have been inquiries from producers who want to shoot here in the Philippines.

"Tinawagan kami... may international movie [producer] na gusto nila mag-shoot dito."

One of their upcoming projects is a prank show that will be aired on GMA News TV.

"Si Dos [Boy 2] Quizon ang bida. Prankista ang title, isa siyang prank show.

"I think ipapalabas by the last quarter of the year," informs Rufa Mae.

Rufa Mae's own production company, On Q-28, was involved in the production of the movies Status: Single (2009) and Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat: Friends 4 Lyf and Death (2007).
