Charice returns for father's wake; authorities offer P100,000 reward for capture of killer

Charice went straight from the airport to the Divine Mercy Chapel in Muntinlupa City for the wake of her father, Ricky Pempengco.

Charice returned to the Philippines last night, November 1, to attend the wake of her slain father, Ricky Pempengco.

Ricky, who is separated from Charice's mom Raquel, was stabbed to death before midnight Monday, October 31, in San Pedro, Laguna.(CLICK HERE to read related article.)

Charice was supposed to perform in Singapore for the David Foster and Friends tour, but she pulled out from the concert to be with her family during this difficult time.

According to an ABS-CBN report, Mommy Raquel and Charice went straight from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 to the Divine Mercy Chapel in Muntinlupa City.

The report also indicated that the tension between Charice's family and the relatives of her estranged father has been "ironed out."

REWARD MONEY. In an interview with dzMM, Laguna Provincial Police Office Director Gilbert Cruz said that a manhunt is ongoing for the suspect in the killing.

The suspect is man Angel Capili, Jr.

A reward of P100,000 is being offered by the Philippine National Police, Laguna government, and the mayor of San Pedro town for anyone who can provide information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect.

Ricky, who was last seen alive while drinking with his buddies, was reportedly stabbed from behind with an ice pick.

Charice or her mother should be the one who is putting the reward money and if they really care about him, there should be no issue on how much the reward money is. The monsy should come from Charice and her mom, not the police or gov't money......it just showes you who really cares and who is loved.......God Bless to you Mr. Pempenco

i think ang paguwi agad ni charice kahit may tour sha speaks volumes about her... kahit star sha, isa lang rin shang bata na naghahanap ng kumpletong pamilya... pero ganyan talaga... at least may one parent na mabait. i dont want to speak ill of the dead pero alam naman natin na maraming ganyang hiwalayan sa mundo. i dont think ginusto ng nanay ni charice na masira pamilya nila.

Xelamikila- bakit si charice ba sumaksak sa tatay nya? Kung makapagsalita akala mo close kayo di mo ba nabasa ung story ni charice? Pagnalalasing tatay nya tinututukan sila ng baril... San mo gusto lumugar ung tao, pag di pumunta sa burol ng tatay sasabihin wlang kwentang anak, pag eto na umuwi para sa tatay sasabihin ngayon lang naka sympatya... Affected ka?...

xelamikila...alam mo ba pinagsasabi mo? maligo ka nga init lang ng katawan yan bakla! anong nilangaw pinagsasabi mo, pati mga artista nga nanood ng concert eh, nasa farmers ka? eh labas lang yun ng ARaneta eh, nakita mo ba ang loob? manood ka nga sa youtube para makita mong puno ang araneta...at anong pinagsasabi mong walang utang na loob? FYI...ang tatay ni Charice ang nagpahirap sa kanila when she was a kid pa, sinasaktan ang nanay nya...

kahit ano pa ang gawin ng mag-inang charice, di na nila maibabalik ang buhay ng kanyang ama. kung kailang patay na, tsaka magpapakita ng konting simpatya? Yan ang mga tinatawag na MGA IPOKRITA!!! Wag na silang magkunwari sa harap ng kamera at di nila maloloko ang publiko. Yan ang isang dahilan kung bakit di sumisikat si charice dito sa Pinas, dahil ayaw ng mga filipino ng mga walangutang na loob, lalo na yung mga anak sa kanilang magulang. Isang patotoo nyan, last week ng mag-concert ang David Foster and friends sa Araneta last week, naroon ako sa Gateway at Farmers, kitang-kita ko na halos walang-tao as in "nilangaw" ang concert nila.
