Glee stars, fellow celebrities, and fans condole with Charice via Twitter

"I want to thank my fans from around the world for their support and love at this very difficult time for my family and I. We are all very sad about this terrible tragedy," said Charice in response to words of sympathy from fans. The statement was released on Tuesday, November 1, on Us Weekly.

The 19-year-old singer canceled her remaining tour dates with David Foster to be with her family. Her estranged father, Ricky Pempengco, was stabbed to death last October 31 in San Pedro, Laguna.

Meanwhile, the international singing sensation expressed her gratitude to people who have been giving her support at this time.

In a statement given to Us Weekly on Tuesday, November 1, Charice said: "I want to thank my fans from around the world for their support and love at this very difficult time for my family and I.

"We are all very sad about this terrible tragedy."

Wow,ang daming matalino dito.Alam nyo ba ang tunay na nangyari sa buhay nila? Kamag-anak nyo ba father nya? Bakit tuwing may news sa family nya ,si Charice pa ang sinisisi. Sya pa ang masama ngayon? Bakit kailangan husgahan yong anak sa maling gawain ng magulang? Gumawa si Charice ng paraan na mapalapit sa father nya at hindi na nya kailangan ipaalam pa sa publiko ang lahat ng detalya na nangyayari sa kanyang pribadong buhay. Tumutulong din sya sa kamag-anak nya at hindi nya pinamamalita yan. Kung ano man ang nangyari sa buhay ng father nya, di na kasalanan ni Charice yon.Nasa edad at tamang pag-iisip yong father nya,huwag nyong isisi kay Charice dahil yong tatay mismo ang lumalayo sa kanila. Saka hindi sya santa na kailangan i-monitor ang mga taong nasa paligid nya.

To me it looks like a show, when she said that her father choose the wrong path in life, he choose those paths because there was no one to help him....Charice may be sorry for what happened but she is also part to blame, with all her fame and money now, she didn't help him out. Yes, he is your father but the right thing to do given the situation between your mom and your father, she could have given him the support that he needed when he needed it. like they say, NASA HULI ANG PAGSISISI, HE NEEDED YOU WHEN HE IS VULNERABLE, BUT YOU NEVER HELPED.....Whatever happened, charice should have helped her family....its only the right thing to do.....good or bad....family comes first..

condolence... but charice can you pls ditch that fedora? not stylish, boring and it makes you look nerd esp if u match it with your geeky glasses. you have nice hair and pretty face, you can show it! the style is just... tiresome to look at.
