Ciara Sotto on her double nomination in the 2011 BroadwayWorld Philippines Awards: "I'm actually more than grateful already that I'm nominated at all. Parang enough na yun sa 'kin."

Isang magandang sorpresa para kay Ciara Sotto ang pagkakuha niya ng dalawang nominasyon sa 2011 BroadwayWorld (BWW) Philippines Awards.

Ang masigasig na theater actress ay na-nominate para sa mga kategoryang:

Best Leading Actress (Musical) para sa kanyang pagganap na Mimi Marquez sa Rent.

Ang Rent ay isang musical na tumatalakay sa HIV-AIDS sa buhay ng ilang bohemians. Si Mimi ay pole dancer na na-diagnose na may HIV.

At Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role/Ensemble Role (Musical) para sa kanyang role na Helene sa Sweet Charity.

Ang musical na ito ay tumatalakay sa buhay ng isang dancer na laging nai-in love sa maling lalaki. Bilang Helene, si Ciara ang close friend ni Chairty, na ginampanan ni Nikki Gil.

Parehong successful Broadway musicals ang Rent at Sweet Charity.

FIRST TIME IN R.P. Ito ang kauna-unahang pagtatanghal ng BroadwayWorld Philippines Awards sa ating bansa.

Ang parangal na ito ay iginagawad sa mga pinakamahuhusay na personalidad sa larangan ng teatro.

Nagsimula ang nasabing parangal sa www.broadwayworld.com—isang online site sa U.S. na naka-focus sa industriya ng teatro.

Taong 2008 noong inilunsad ang BroadwayWorld Awards sa U.S. at U.K.

DOUBLE NOMINATION. Nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Ciara sa pamamagitan ng online chat noong isang araw, at sinabi nito na hindi raw talaga niya ine-expect na may ganitong award at nomination siyang matatanggap.

Ayon sa kanya: "I can't get over being nominated!

"Tapos double nomination pa, it will be very hard for me to move on from this.

"I'm so happy.

gud for her,,kase mas bagay sya sa stage o teatro,,sila ni SHEREE,,well,unag pagkakataon ito diba,,wow!!kala ko naman sa ibang bansa ito,,kala mo naman,,lolxx,,mas ok ibang bansa ang award giving bodies ang magparangal sa mga stage play,,kaya nga we all wish na nailalako o nag plplay din sa mga hotels sa midle east,sa europa at america ang mga play ang gawang pinoy na play,,dagdag kita pa sa lahat ng staff at actors ng play,,kase mas mahilig ang mga ibang lahi sa mga play sa teatro,,lalo nasa mga 5 star horels,,hay nako,,dudumugin iyan,,basta mailako lang ng maayos,,sa teatro kase,,decency at proffesionalism,,o disiplina ang mahihita ng mga staff at stars,,,iba sa teatro,,,love it!!!sana pala,,lahat ng stars i try ang teatro diba,,lalo na yung hindi kimikinang sa movies o tv o mainstream,try stage play,,baka dito kayo makilala,,diba,,wag isiksik ang sarili sa mainstream o movies o tv,.hhehee

milomil0123 ciara's role in Rent is that of mimi, a drug-dependent-HIV positive SandM dancer. One of the musical's highlight is Out Tonight which featured pole dancing. di ka naman siguro b o b o pero igno rante ka lang sa theater musical. tigi-tigilan na kasi ang panonood ng mga ba su rang palabas sa tv. go read a book or attend a live theatrical event.
