Humakot ng 26 na tropeyo ang GMA-7 at ang news channel nitong GMA News TV sa 8th Golden Screen TV Awards ng Entertainment Press Society (ENPRESS).

Ginanap ang awarding ceremonies kagabi, November 29, sa Teatrino Promenade sa Greenhills, San Juan.

Ang rival networks ng GMA-7 na ABS-CBN ay nagkamit ng 14 awards, samantalang ang TV5 ay nakakuha ng pito.

Dalawa ang nakuha ng Lifestyle Network, cable channel ng ABS-CBN, at isa naman ang napanalunan ng UNTV.

Pinaghatian ng Kapuso at Kapamilya networks ang awards sa Drama category.

Outstanding Original Drama Series ang epicserye ng GMA-7 na Amaya, samantalang Outstanding Adapted Drama Series naman ang Mara Clara ng ABS-CBN.

Si Lorna Tolentino ang nagwagi sa kategoryang Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series para sa primetime series na Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin ng ABS-CBN.

Si Dennis Trillo naman ang Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series para sa afternoon soap na Sinner Or Saint ng GMA-7.

Ang longest-running noontime show na Eat Bulaga! (GMA-7) ang itinanghal na Outstanding Variety Program.

Samantalang ang ASAP Rocks (ABS-CBN) ang nanalong Outstanding Musical Program.

Sina Vic Sotto at Julia Clarete ng Eat Bulaga! ang napiling Outstanding Male and Female Hosts In a Musical or Variety Program.

Ang Pepito Manaloto ang nagwaging Outstanding Comedy Program at ang Bubble Gang ang nanalong Outstanding Gag Show. Parehong sa GMA-7 ipinalalabas ang dalawang programa.

Si Ogie Alcasid ng Bubble Gang ang Outstanding Comedy Actor, at si Angelica Panganiban naman ng Banana Split ang Outstanding Comedy Actress.
