GMA Network, through its Corporate Communications department, has issued a statement regarding Rhian Ramos's request to take a leave from her work.

Rhian is an exclusive talent of Kapuso network under contract with its talent arm, Artist Center.

According to the statement, Rhian asked "for a few weeks leave from her work schedule because of the trauma she is going through."

The 21-year-old actress is currently involved in a controversy resulting from the revelations and allegations of her former boyfriend, Mo Twister.

Rhian has started taping for her scenes in the upcoming primetime series The Beloved opposite Dingdong Dantes.

But the young actress asked that she be replaced "as she feels that she cannot give her best to the show given her current state of mind."

Rhian also requested to take a leave from her two weekly shows: Manny Many Prizes and Party Pilipinas.

When she returns from her break, Rhian will resume appearing in these two shows.

Rhian will also resume shooting for her new movie with GMA Films, which pairs her opposite Aljur Abrenica.

"GMA Network received a request from its artist Rhian Ramos for a few weeks leave from her work schedule because of the trauma she is going through. She asked that she be replaced in The Beloved as she feels that she cannot give her best to the show given her current state of mind. She also asked for a few weeks leave from her other shows Manny Many Prizes and Party Pilipinas.

"GMA understands her request and will allow her to take some time out from her obligations to the Network. Once she comes back from her break, she will resume appearing in her shows Manny Many Prizes and Party Pilipinas. She will also resume work on her new movie project with GMA Films."
