Jericho Rosales has admitted that he is already in a relationship but declined to reveal the name of his girlfriend.

During the press conference of the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival earlier today, December 13, Echo (Jericho's nickname) explained, "Hindi ko lang masyado kinukwento dahil ayokong masyadong matabunan ang mga ginagawa kong projects.

"I just want to focus on the things that I'm doing, especially itong panahon na ito, ang Metro Manila Film Festival."

The singer-actor is part of the family drama Yesterday Today Tomorrow (YTT).

In the movie, he plays the brother of Maricel Soriano and the husband of Lovi Poe.

Echo pointed out, "There will be a time upang pag-usapan natin ang lovelife ko.

"Siguro pag Valentine's day, pakikilala ko siya sa inyo."

In the KrisTv episode aired earlier today, Echo's love life was discussed in the ABS-CBN morning show.

He appeared on the show along with his YTT co-star, Paulo Avelino.

During the show, Kris asked Echo, "GF [girlfriend] na ba?"

Looking a bit flustered, he answered, "Yeah."

Kris recalled that when the actor guested in her show two months ago, he admitted that he was dating someone.

When she asked him about the rings on his fingers, he singled out one that bore a Union Jack design. The Union jack is the national flag of the United Kingdom.

Kris asked Echo a direct question: "Is your girlfriend from the UK? Part-British siya?"

Echo confirmed that she is part-British and that she is here in the Philippines. 

HOLLYWOOD OFFER? Is it true he declined a Hollywood project because of his girlfriend?

"No, no, no.

"Number one, I don't have a Hollywood offer.

"I went to Hollywood to study [acting for film at the New York Film Academy].

"I went there to check kung anong opportunities ang meron, to look for an agent and para malaman ko kung anong nangyayari abroad.

"Who knows? Maybe one day, as an actor, baka magkaroon na naman ng opportunity to work with actors abroad."

The ABS-CBN actor previously starred in the Hollywood movie, Subject: I Love You, which earned for him an Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking Acting award during the Newport Beach Film Festival earlier this year.

In this movie, Echo got the chance to work with Hollywood stars Briana Evigan and Dante Basco, while Gary Valenciano had a cameo role.


15 YEARS IN SHOWBIZ. He remained tight-lipped about the identity of his girlfriend, but Echo said the lucky girl will be present at his December 23 concert titled Kinse (Labinlimang Taon ni Jericho Rosales).

It will be staged at the Riverbanks Amphitheater in Marikina City where the actor traces his roots.

"Sa Marikina, dun ako nagsimula nung sumali ako sa Mr. Pogi. Dun nagsimula ang lahat, e," says Echo.

"Lahat ng memorable moments sa buhay ko, babalikan ko sa concert na yun."

Who will be his guests?

"Makakasama ko ang co-star ko sa Yesterday Today Tomorrow na si Lovi Poe, si Gabriel Valenciano, and Gary Valenciano.
