GMA-7 PR officer: "There is no negotiation going on between GMA and Mr. Pangilinan regarding the latter's acquisition of GMA-7"; MVP keeps mum

Manny Pangilinan (in photo), according to current business buzz, is negotiating with the big bosses of GMA-7 to buy the Kapuso network.

Dagdag pa nito, "The possibilities of MVP's buying power is endless. At this point, his next investment could be ANYTHING."

"NO NEGOTATION GOING ON."

Ayon sa kanya: "There is no truth to the rumor going around in social media sites and the internet that Mr. Manny Pangilinan has bought GMA Network.

"In fact, there is no negotiation going on between GMA and Mr. Pangilinan regarding the latter's acquisition of GMA-7."

Ayon sa tweet ng ANC reporter na si Coco Alcuaz ngayong umaga: "Pangilinan declines to comment on GMA speculation, saying he's on 'half vacation mode.'

"Official statement to come in due course."

MVP is a good businessman if ever gusto niyang bilhin ang Kapuso network it is because of its liquidity wala namang gustong bumili sa estasyon na nalulugi. No. 1 ang GMA kaya siguro gusto niya ito. Di ba kinuha niya si Sharon, Aga and Willie mga sikat yan sa kabila kulang na lang ang isang network na no. 1 and well managed. Pero the two lesser networks 2 and 5 are doing their best to bring down the Kapuso network from being no. 1 but to no avail. 2012 is another winning year for the Kapuso network after AMaya merong na namang My Beloved. Kaya yung mga haters be calm God is on the side of GMA 7.

Desperate na talaga si MVP to be no. 1. Mapa news and other shows ang lakas kahit sa saan sulok ng mundo. But sad to say priceless ang Kapuso network. Many are envious of how a small tv network now becomes a giant network. It is because of their honesty in their news department at palaging nilalait ang mga kapuso stars kaya tuloy ang masang Pilipino ay pumapanig sa kanila, humility is always there.

Sabi nga ni bong osorios one-liner- bakit ba nagkokomento ang gma dito kung hindi naman sila kasali dito, re- dismissed case against agb filed by abs. Hehehe.

Ang mga kapams used to this kind of news that they no longer check reality when it presents itself in its true form. Hayy naku, kapams

MVP may have tried to entice GMA to dispose PART of its network assets but GMA owners are not that d u m b to allow MVP who owns kuno TV5 to deep his fingers into the business of GMA network. It’s like surrendering to your opponent without any fight. GMA is a very sound, liquid network so it has no need to sell even parts of its major shares because obviously between GMA and TV5 the former has higher annual revenue gains than the latter. TV5 for sure has more losses compared to GMA because it’s been signing up big stars for huge bucks whose shows are not even raking in revenues nor ratings to recoup TV5’s investments so for sure mas malaki ang tapon kesa kabig sa investments ng TV5. GMA on the otherhand has been gaining well in terms of ratings and revenues so why would a top network even think of selling even part of their shares if they are doing very good? MVP indeed has a good marketing machine but those who know the real deal are not biting it, that includes me. But the article is right these kinds

Rufa G and all those who believe that MVP is this super mega billionaire DON’T KNOW ANYTHING. Yes MVP is rich BUT NOT as rich as what people think he is. He is A BUYER, A NEGOTIATOR, A MIDDLE MAN between the real super mega filthy rich groups trying to acquire performing assets/businesses and those groups who are willing to dispose assets/businesses. Ruga G should watch Pretty Woman because the character of Richard Gere in that film is what MVP in real life is. MVP sells and acquires businesses FOR OTHERS but he doesn’t necessarily own what he buys and sells but he for sure is given a part or percentage of what he buys apart from his mega commissions. Most of his investors are NOT FILIPINO CITIZENS precisely why he’s perceived as THE OWNER OR BUYER because non-Pinoy citizens are not legally allowed to own full ownerships of Philippine businesses. Ergo, MVP is a dummy for those super mega billionaires. Well what else is knew with Rufa G. Nothing really thrives inside her coconut shell. I’m just sayin’.

Showbusiness means showbusiness. If MVP gets the deal he would be the most powerful media executive in the island of the Phils. Daming sisipsip.

And this is for obvious reason, no need for further elaboration. Top 40 Richest in Philippines for 2011 26. Gilberto Duavit 190 million - GMA7 Owner 27. Menardo Jimenez 185 million - GMA7 Owner 30. Felipe Gozon 163 million - GMA7 Owner 39. Eugenio Lopez III 90 million - ABSCBN2 Owner
