The Kapamilya network says the Kapuso network is wrong.
The issue has to do with the status of a case the Kapamilya network filed against ratings service provider AGB Nielsen.
Last December 28, GMA-7 corporate communications consultant Butch Racquel sent a press release to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) which said that the case filed by ABS-CBN against AGB Nielsen has already been dismissed by the courts.
In other words, GMA-7 was saying that ABS-CBN should stop casting aspersions on AGB Nielsen's integrity.
AGB Nielsen is the ratings service provider of GMA-7.
Before the court case, AGB Nielsen was also the provider of ABS-CBN for measuring audience viewership.
ABS-CBN has since shifted to Kantar/TNS for its ratings information.

Last night, December 29, at around 11:45, ABS-CBN corporate communications head Bong Osorio released a statement refuting GMA-7's assertions:
"The ABS-CBN case against AGB is still pending resolution at the Court of Appeals, contrary to what GMA says has already been resolved."
Furthermore, ABS-CBN censured GMA-7's move of involving itself in the issue.
"GMA is not party to the case and should refrain from commenting on it," Osorio stated.
BACK STORY. The December 28 statement of the Kapuso Network was released, according to network consultant Butch Racquel, to inform the press that the court had long ordered the civil case closed. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)
It may be recalled that back in December 14 of 2007, ABS-CBN filed a P63-million civil case against AGB Nielsen Media Research with the Quezon City Regional Trial Court. (CLICK HERE to read related story)
The Kapamilya network said it filed the case against AGB Nielsen because of the latter's inaction on the Kapamilya network's appeal for it to investigate accounts that GMA-7 was allegedly manipulating the TV viewership data-gathering process.
