Glaiza de Castro is emotional over the end of GMA-7's primetime teleserye, Amaya.
The actress has been part of the historical-drama series which started airing on May 20, 2011, and which will see reach its conclusion tonight, January 13.
Amaya casts Glaiza de Castro with Kapuso talents Marian Rivera, Sid Lucero, Mikael Daez, Aljur Abrenica, Gina Alajar, Lani Mercado, and Raymond Bagasting.
Glaiza plays the role of Binayaan, the second daughter of Datu Bugna (Raymond Bagatsing) and Dian Lamitan (Gina Alajar).
The name "Binayaan" comes from the word "biya" which means "forsaken" or "abandoned."
Binayaan recently met her demise, even before the plot's actual denouement.
The 23-year-old morena remarks, "Ako, tapos na ako! Namatay na si Binayaan.
"Pero sobrang saya ko kasi ang dami kong natutunan dun sa show na yun. Di lang sa working ethics... kundi sa lahat-lahat."
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke to Glaiza at the birthday party of GMA-7 executive Redgie Magno last night, January 12.
(The celebration was held at Emar Suites on Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City.)
Glaiza admits her difficulty in detaching from the production, especially the people she had worked with.
"Mixed emotion kasi ano, e... Kasi in a way, napalapit na yun sa puso mo, e— yung character ko, yung mga tao na kasama mo dun.
"So, ang hirap i-detach yung sarili mo. Ang hirap magpaalam.
"Ang sinasabi nga sa akin nung last taping nila, 'buti na lang wala ako kasi nag-iyakan daw sila.
"So, parang ako, ayoko magpaalam. Ayoko talaga ng mga goodbye.
