The YES! February issue trains the spotlight on Pokwang's newest home and celebrity babies.

TV host, comic, cook, survivor, and now dramatic actress Pokwang proudly welcomes YES! into her new four-story house in Antipolo City.

Pokwang excitedly reveals: "Lagi akong nagmamadaling umuwi ngayon. Siyempre bago 'yong bahay ko, gusto ko namang ma-enjoy."

Pokwang's towering, concrete abode is her second property in Antipolo. It took eight months to be completed.

Her first property was featured in the September 2009 issue of YES!. She has since given this house to one of her siblings.

Open space, breezy atmosphere, and a peaceful view of Antipolo best describe Pokwang's far-from humble abode.

Janet Diquiatco-Torio, Pokwang's interior designer, chose to have the house painted in various hues of oranges, yellows, greens, and cream.

A firm believer of feng shui, Pokwang abides by its conventions and also collects Chinese and animal figurines.

Her personal collection of scented candles, colorful gems, coins, Swarovski crystals, and more, which largely came from her travels abroad, are also shown in the 22-page feature of the No. 1 entertainment magazine in the country.

Pokwang's new home is clearly a product of  hard work and serious talent, and is a testament to how the former OFW has triumphed over life's stumbling blocks.

She says, of her comedic skills: "Siguro nga, dahil 'yong buhay naming mahirap-malungkot, kaya nadadaan na lang sa katatawanan."

Pokwang considers herself a certified  homebody, revealing that she would rather stay at home than, as she puts it, "mag-good-time."

"Kasi gusto ko, pag walang trabaho, bahay. Relax. Duster. Tulog."

When her schedule permits, Pokwang loves to cook for her family and mentions that the kitchen is one of her favorite parts of the house. Her friends at ABS-CBN say she really has a gift for it, too!

Pokwang also shares memories of her poverty-stricken childhood, her love for daughter Mae, and how she still believes that she will meet the one—all in this month's issue of YES!.
