Ruffa Gutierrez on signing a contract with Vic del Rosario, who will co-manage her endorsements: "This is not my first time to sit here at the VIVA office. I've done movies with them back in 1980s. I've done I Love You 3x a Day, She-Man: Master of the Universe way back then, and I also did Working Girls. I'm very excited to be part of the VIVA family. Like what my mom said, hindi na iba sa amin si boss Vic...

"Oh yes, and the most important... in 1995, we produced Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa, which is very successful. Yo'n yung unang project ng Royal ERA na Royal Artist na ngayon."

"No love muna."

This is the mantra of Ruffa Gutierrez this 2012.

She says this at her contract-signing with VIVA's Vic Del Rosario—who is going to handle the endorsements of the former beauty queen and her two brothers Richard and Raymond—this afternoon, January 25.

She elaborates, "Hindi, kasi a lot of the ano... a lot of the stars now, a lot of my friends are always saying, 'Ay sana ma-in love na ako this 2012. Sana I find the right one.'

"Ako ang sinasabi ko, 'Sana, no distractions for 2012.'

"I don't want anyone in my life. I don't wanna fall in love. I wanna be single, work, and be successful, which I already am."

While she is making these pronouncements, a loud thump momentarily takes the attention away from Ruffa.

The Paparazzi host exclaims, "Ay, nalaglag ni mommy yung folder!"

To which the matriarch of the Gutierrez family retorts, "I heard that a thousand times already, Ruffa."

But despite her mom's skepticism, she stresses, "No distractions..."

SOUTH AMERICAN SOJOURN. This earns an "ows?" reaction from some of the entertainment writers.

Ruffa, however, insists that she is determined not to be distracted.

In fact, when she leaves for her all-expense-paid trip to Brazil and Argentina with Cristalle Henares tonight, she swears that she will stick to her "no-boys" rule.

Once again, she tells, "Ayokong distraction. Kung may distraction man, maiiwan sila dun."

For two weeks, she'll do some sightseeing in São Paulo, Rio, Salvador da Bahia, plus Buenos Aires and Mendoza.
