Aiko Melendez describes her lovelife: "Wala! I'm loveless and busy working lang. Kasi iyon ang goal ko for 2012... parang sa feng shui ko sa year of the rabbit is really good for career so I'd like to focus there muna."

Nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Aiko Melendez kagabi, February 3, sa Tanghalang Pasigueño sa Pasig City kung saan ginanap ang taping ng Nandito Ako, ang upcoming series ng TV5.

"Kapatid" na ba si Aiko? Kapatid ang tawag sa mga exclusive artists ng TV5.

"No. Actually just for this project and then I don't know yet kung I have a follow-up project with Channel 5, but I'm going back to Kapamilya network naman in March, I'm set to do a soap opera," bungad ni Aiko sa PEP.

Freelancer si Aiko.

"Oo, wala akong contract with any network."

Kung may mag-o-offer sa kanya ng exclusive network contract?

"Puwede rin kasi basta lang ano yung project, sisiguraduhin lang na maganda, because after nung success nung Reputasyon na experimental yung role ko, parang I wanna do something naman that's different, that it wouldn't bore naman yung mga nanonood sa akin. Sana, sana."

Sa Nandito Ako na pinagbibidahan ng American Idol Season 7 runnerup na si David Archuleta, ang role ni Aiko ay...

"I play Margaret, the mom of Eula Caballero. Si Jasmine [Curtis Smith] naman, ang mom niya si Gelli [de Belen].

"Si Gelli... may past kami [sa serye], magkagalit kami kasi naging kerida siya ng husband ko, who is a foreigner, hindi artista.

"Tapos biglang magkaka-conflict kami ni Gelli to a point na hindi ako magiging okay kay Jasmine kasi nga dun sa mom niya, dun sa away namin."

Nagkaeksena na sina Aiko at David...

"Yeah! This is my third day with David and yung ngayon medyo kinda heavy yung scene namin together kasi may ipapakiusap ako sa kanya with regards to my daughter."

Napapanood niya si David noon?

"Napapanood ko siya pero hindi talaga ako yung... I am not an avid fan.

k abangan ko to sama na yung valiente dahil joel lamangan director nun and ofcourse yung beloved ng gma..stop naman ako sa panunuod ng abs soap,bagal ng takbo ng story,boring and feeling ko nasasayang yung 30 minutes ko na wala man lang exciting na nangyari sa soap..lol.. at yung mga love team ng mga bida masyado nila hina highlight..OA!!!

mother roles na talaga ang mga byuti nila ano ba yan.Poor talaga mag-isip ang mga filipino writers.Bakit sa hollywood or sa ibang bansa yung magagaling at beteranong artista ay mga bida parin at magaganda ang plot ng movies.Sa Pinoy puro pacute lang.Kaya madaling pagsawaan ang artista.

got the same sentiment with David Archuleta, was an instant fan after I heard him sing live.i only got to accompany my 9 yr old daughter in one of his tour here in the States and he is a one gifted performer.
