Marami ang nagulat na pagkatapos ng Amaya ay ginagawa na agad ni Direk Mac Alejandre ang mini-seryeng Nandito Ako ng TV5 na pinagbibidahan nila David Archuleta, Jasmine Curtis Smith at Eula Caballero.

Identified na direktor ng GMA-7, malaking palaisipan sa lahat ang naging paglipat ni Direk Mac sa Kapatid network.

Sa interview ng PEP.ph sa mahusay na director kagabi, presscon ng Nandito Ako, kinumpirma ni Direk Mac na pumirma siya ng four-year exclusive directorial contract sa TV5.

He also revealed his reason for leaving GMA-7.

"I signed a four-year exclusive contract with TV5. Dalawang bagay ang naging batayan ko: Una, security, at  pangalawa, growth.

"I felt that both networks offered security pero pagdating sa growth factor, ang feeling ko, mas malaki ang chance ko to do more things and newer things here [TV5]," aniya.

"Gusto ko lang i-clarify, di sila dapat magtaka kasi I never had an exclusive contract with GMA.

"I never had a network contract with them throughout my 12 years with them.

"All I had was a program contract.  Ganun ang relationship namin.

"[Nuong] umalis ako, lahat pinaliwanag ko sa kanila.  I went through the proper process, diretsong-diresto."

 
We asked Direk Mac kung may pagpipigil ba na ginawa ang GMA at kung nag-counter offer ba ang mga ito na kadalasang nangyayari pag may isang artista o director na gustong lumipat sa ibang istasyon.

"Nag-counter offer sila; the offer was extremely good.

"They covered the aspect of security, pero yung growth e, yun yun e."

 
Inamin ni Direk Mac na sa loob pala ng 12 years niya sa GMA ay hindi siya inalok ng director's contract, kung saan mayroon naman ang ibang mga director sa nasabing istasyon.

"Ang Channel 7 mayroon, may mga directors sila na inalok ng network contract but I was not offered a network contract. 

"They only offered me, mga last year. That time, di ko na kino-consider yun.

"Gusto ko lang linawin sa lahat, I was never  offered a network contract by GMA except last year.
