Mikael Daez keeps his shirt on in new series

In the new series, My Beloved, Mikael Daez (above) plays the role of Nelson, who gets involved in a love triangle with Sharina, portrayed by Marian Rivera, and Benjie, the angel of death, brought to life by Dingdong Dantes.

Sa panayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Mikael Daez, naitanong namin: Ano ang pakiramdam na pagkatapos ng Amaya ay magkasama sila ulit ni Marian Rivera sa My Beloved, at kasama pa nila si Dingdong Dantes?

"Very happy! Siyempre naman I feel very fortunate kasi you know, it's Marian Rivera and at the same time not only Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes pa, di ba!

"So para sa akin it says a lot about what GMA wants for me.

"Para sa akin it's also GMA's way of telling me na, 'Okay we're challenging you,' na 'You do your part if you want to see what you can do!'

"Kasi di ba parang fitting at opportunity na makita nila ako at kung ano ang kaya ko after Amaya.

"So ako just like any other project, kailangan todo-bigay lahat, ipapakita ko na deserving ako sa binibigay na opportunity sa akin ng GMA."

Hindi ba siya natatakot na baka magalit sa kanya ang Marian/Dingdong fans?

Bilang Nelson, siya ang ka-love triangle sa My Beloved nina Sharina (Marian) at Benjie (Dingdong, na gumaganap rin bilang angel of death na si Arlan).

"Actually I love the DongYan fans! Napaka-supportive nila, as in."

Ngayong ka-trayanggulo siya ng magkasintahan, suportahan pa kaya siya ng mga fans ng dalawa? Hindi kaya this time ay awayin siya ng mga ito?

"Hindi naman! Sa Amaya, medyo may pagka-triangle rin kami."

Kay Sid Lucero, pero hindi kay Dingdong na real-life boyfriend ni Marian...

"Well, hindi, I think the fans of Dingdong and Marian are very supportive of them naman and their show and they know naman na this is just a show.

"So so far they've been very supportive of me, [sa] Twitter, actually nagko-comment din sila sa mga articles na pinu-post ko sa blog or sa Philippine Star, so I'm very happy naman with yung reaction nila sa akin."

Ang My Beloved (isasa-ere na February 13 sa GMA-7) ang regular show ni Mikael. Ano pa ang mga projects niya?

GMA 7 should continue developing TALL LEADING MENS. pagdating sa LEADINGMEN kulilat ang GMA 7 sa ABS. ang ABS magaling pumilo ng gwapo. sinaabi nila beke ung mga nasa abs? ganun naman talaga sa showbiz. kahit sa GMA 7 may mga beke din jan. mas ok na na maging BEKE na GWAPO at di halata kaysa beke na panget. di na ako nagtaka marami mga babae at beking fans na gusto ang ABS kasi maraming gwapo.
