Gary Valenciano enjoys working with his children; says "There will never be another Gary Valenciano"

Gary Valenciano on the next Gary V. and Martin Nievera: "There are several things that come into my head. Number one is—and this is not to say this in any yabang version, ha—there will never be another Gary Valenciano. There will never be another Martin Nievera... There will only be better Gary and better Martin in the years to come."

Magiging abala si Gary Valenciano simula ngayong buwan ng Pebrero hanggang sa katapusan ng taon dahil sa mga nakalinya nang proyekto niya—isang musical film, magkakasunod na concerts dito at sa ibang bansa, at ang repackaging ng kanyang album.

Ang tinutukoy niyang musical film ay ang I Doo Bi Doo, Bi Doo, kung saan makakasama niya sina Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ogie Alcasid, at Eugene Domingo.

Ang album naman na kanyang ire-repackage ay ang With Love, Gary Valenciano, na una niyang inilabas noong nakaraang taon.

Kabilang sa concerts na gagawin niya ay ang A Date With Destiny, na gagawin sa Sunken Garden ng UP Diliman, Quezon City sa Pebrero 15, ika-8 ng gabi.

Makakasama niya rito ang mga anak na sina Gabriel at Paolo.

Isasama niya rin daw ang mga anak sa concert tour niya sa Amerika sa darating na Hunyo—ang "The Valenciano Concert"—para hindi raw puro siya ang mapapanood sa kanyang show.

Nakapanayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang entertainment press si Gary kanina, Pebrero 13, sa Mesa Grill Restaurant sa Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Binanggit niya sa amin na 29 taon na siya sa industriyang ito, ngunit kitang-kita pa rin ang kanyang pagmamahal sa musika.

"These guys, these young people," sagot ni Gary nang tanungin namin kung ano ang inspirasyon niya sa pagpapatuloy ng pag-awit.

"I have such a heart for the young people, really I do. Iba, e, 'yong generation ng mga kabataan ngayon.

"Out there, you carry out a conversation with them, and you get to really learn, you get to realize that even as a grown up, there's still a lot of room to grow, and I really enjoy doing that.

"Kaya when I'm in concerts or shows, these guys introduce me to new stuff in YouYube, I really make it a point to check it out 'coz it's what the young is seeing and it's what the young are hearing.

"It's a very wide, wide scope but it's fun.

"'Coz there's a lot more to do than simply sitting down and thinking, 'Okay, ano pa ang puwede nating i-release diyan? Ano pa ang hindi natin nagagawa?'

"No, just look at these young people, which open us for a lot of opportunities."

In fairness to Gary, the late Michael Jackson was about 50 yrs old when he died and still danced like that up to his death. The only difference was, you cant see Michael strutting every Sunday when he was still alive, so you will always look fwd his performance during awards show. Overexposed na masyado si Gary. meaning wala na siyang mapapakita pa na hindi na niya nagawa sa ASAP. Si Martin naman is different, Martin can sing really well even on small venues , lounges or clubs. Si Gary..eh..mahirap dalhin yung act niya sa small type of crowd dahil sumasayaw siya, meaning..it's not his crowd. Sad but true. I think that's why he jsut stick out with ASAP, he has nowhere to go. Just an opinion. I maybe wrong.

Kapamilya entertainer Gary Valenciano, of all people, should know that he should ACT his age. Matatanda na siya, yung mga anak niya mga nasa mid 20's na, tapos eto siya at parang NAGMUMURANG kamatis na pasayaw sayaw pa na parang teen ager eh OBVIOUS naman na has-been na yung kabataan niya. Once or twice occurences but too many or REGULAR numbers like that is so YUCKY and so sore-eye-yee to the tv viewers. Have some self-respect naman LOLO Gary and act your age!

may PP naman don kayo manood, si GARY nagka platinum pa album nya ibig sabihin tinatangkilik pa. yong kabilang show na matatanda ibig mo ring sabihin mag retire na sila. sabi ni GARY ikaw daw magpapalamon sa kanyang pamilya mag reretire na daw sya.. hahaha

Kapamilya talent Gary Valenciano is talented, but he is TOO OLD now, and watching him strut and dance and do those things on ASAP feels very AWKWARD and boring. One word - RETIREMENT. It's about time that Gary takes responsibility behind the camera.

It would have been better if his kids stay humble kaya lang minsan they take credits of their Dad's achievements eh hindi. Di ba Gab?
