Lea Salonga says she did not "diss or attack" Anne Curtis; admits she's insulted by "off-key singers" calling themselves singers

Lea Salonga on Anne Curtis: "I'm not sure that she should make a career out of singing but I thinknaman she... In reality, she knows what she is. She knows who she is. And I think she just basically let out a wish and somebody made it come true. I thought it was really cute. I didn't get to see the concert. But everybody that I know that went there had a lot of fun."

    hay naku!!! yung di nasisiyahan kay anne di wag makinig at manood... her concert was just for fun... kasalanan ba niya kung many wants to join her and want to have fun and be entertained? i for one agree she is not a singer but i must admit na when she sings im not pleased with her voice but how she acts and she is cute... just a like a baby no matter how bad the voice is...we still adore her. wag na mangialam yung iba di naman pera nila ang ginagastos sa pag produce ng concert be it on world tour... its just for fun... alam nyo ba yun?

    lea wasn't dissing or referring to anne.. Sabi naman ni Lea na di singer si anne, dun na yun.. What she just want to say is yung iba na di singer pero proclaiming themselves as singers, di si anne ibig sabihin nya dun kasi anne never proclaimed na singer sya, anne only wants to do it for fun, entertainment, di sinabi ni anne na singer kaya yun ang ibig sabihin ni lea.. And about anne having a world tour, she is not a singer, if ever man may world tour sya its just the same sa araneta na makapag entertain lang.. yun lang.. i'm not a fan of either of them.. pero di pinaparinggan ni lea si anne and anne is only an entertainer, not a singer.. peace..

    Isa pa, kung magko concert si Anne na naka Maria Clara ewan ko lang kung may pupunta pa. Dinadaan sa maiikling damit. xD At sa nag react sa comment ko kanina. Hindi ko sinabing bawal siya kumanta, sinabi ko pa ngang tanggap ko na magconcert siya sa pinas but please wag na mag wolrd tour xD

    It's good to hear someone from the music industry spoke up. A lot of good singers and composers have been working hard to uplift the quality of Filipino music in order to compete with that of the foreign music. It's been a long time that local products fail to match up with that of their foreign counterparts but still they never give up. Pero maraming nagsulputan na mga singers kuno na imbes na makatulong e ginawang katawa-tawa ang quality ng Filipino music. Dapat sisihin dito ang mga producers na dahil sa kagustuhang magkamal ng salapi, todo-support sa mga non-singers...

    Lahat naman nakakanta pero hindi ibig sabihin nito ay lahat ay singers na.....dapat alamin din ni Ann ang limitasyon niya, sakit kaya sa tenga ng birit niya. Pagtatawanan lamang ng foreign singers ang OPM ng Pinas.....Comedy naman yata ang concert ni Ann na parang pang GALA theater noon, OK na rin.....hehehe

    lea herself said it na she wasn't referring to anne... anne never claimed to be a singer in the first place... what can we do if her fans have purchasing powers to support whatever she do... be it movies or albums and concerts... feeling ko ang gusto paringgan ni lea ay si willie... hahahahahahah... ang nakakaawa ay yung mga singer starlets sa kapuso... kulang nalang magoputukan ang ugat sa kabibirit... pero walang datung ang mga fans nila kaya walang album at concerts... alam nyong lahat yan.

    well said, Lea. Hindi yon pagiinsulto.., it's a fact!.. and Anne confirmed that she's not a singer, so there was no issue and a fuss 'bout it. Well,.. congratulations for Anne in her concert. It's very entertaining. Songs she sung does not met the standard, but she makes it an entertaining craft for the people that loves her.. Bongga!

    Lea has always been frank in interviews and she is in a league of her own. She's a world acclaimed talent and to utter her name in the same breath as Anne's when it comes to singing, is a such a crime lol. I completely agree with what Lea said. She's a successful singer and theatre actress while Anne is an entertainer. I put the blame on the silly interviewers.

    well-said ms lea, tama naman lahat ng sinabi ni ms lea..para na ring iniinsulto ni anne ang mga TOTOONG singers..lahat na lng gusto niyang pasukin, tama na ang pagiging host niya at actress..hay naku anne, mahiya ka naman sa buong mundo..PINAGTATAWANAN AT NAGMUMUKHANG CHEAP KA NA dahil sa pinag.gagawa mo day!

    Anne, tanggap ko na nagconcert ka dito sa pinas. But, pleasee! Wag kana mag world tour. Nakakahiya. Kung si Regine nga may mga basher sa Youtube na mga taga ibang bansa. Ano nlng kaya aabutin mo?------------------------------------------------------------ke magaling ka o hindi meron at merong maninira sa yo...sa iyo na rin naggaling yan...responsibilidad ni anne curtis sa sarili niyang tuparin ang mga ninanais niya...bakit mo siya pipigilan...bat di mo pagtuunan ng pansin ang pagtupad sa sariling pangarap mo hindi yung nangingialam ka sa kagustuhan ng iba...pu-lease!
