Marvin Agustin on their movie The Road going international: "But this one's different kasi ipapalabas siya sa major chains, major cinema. Mainstream siya. Just like you know, just like other foreign films na pinapalabas dun. Mga movies from China, movies from Thailand. So at least naka-breakthrough na ang Pilipinas through GMA Films, through this movie The Road.

"But this one's different kasi ipapalabas siya sa major chains, major cinema. Mainstream siya.

"Just like you know, just like other foreign films na pinapalabas dun.

"Mga movies from China, movies from Thailand.

"So at least, naka-breakthrough na ang Pilipinas through GMA Films, through this movie, The Road.

"Yung ganito kalaki na screening na ganitong kalaking commercial screening, first ito kaya nakakatuwa. Nakaka-proud.

"Very excited and we're planning nga sana, kung May 11 yung regular screening, we are hoping na magkaroon ng premiere night.

"Para lang rume-red carpet kami doon, naka-limo!" sabay tawa muli ni Marvin.

"So ayun, we're very, very proud to be shown nga abroad."

FOR ANOTHER REASON? Ayon pa kay Marvin, bukod sa showing ng The Road sa U.S., pupunta naman siya talaga doon for a different reason.

"Nasa States din ako nun, e. May, e. I think second week.

I have seen a film with the same title but it stars Virgo Mortensen who played Aragon from the Lord of the Rings and the film was based on a story that was written by a Nobel Prize winner who I cannot remember the name. The story was about the survival journey of a man and his young son during a nuclear fall out. I'm just wondering if both movies are related.

Marvin is not only a good actor but also has academic brains- and together with his entrepreneurial skills equals success. He took a masters degree at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati- it is a prestigious post graduate school with international students from Asia, Australia and even the middle east. Most of the big names/executives in the business/corporate world, banks, politics, old moneyed rich but hardworking people have been through there as well like the Ayalas, Aboitiz- it is very difficult to get in and to finish as well. If I'm not mistaken the owner of French Connection and Bench- Mr. Ben Chan also graduated from there. Most of the international students there are paid for by their big companies like SGV, banks, engineering firms, advertising companies, etc. And last but not the least, it is very expensive.

I like him. He may not be as good looking as other actors but he's attractive, smart when it comes to his money, and a good provider to his children. If there is anybody that I would be interested to talk to from the showbiz industry, it would be this guy.

I bet The Road would be a flop, but I hope it won't. I didn't see any special in that movie, Feng Shui of Kris Aquino should have been released in the North American market. Non Asian movies what? Anong pinagsasabi mo dyan eh Shaolin Soccer, Caution, Lust and tons of horror flick were all ASIAN produced movies not hollywood.

May ibang Pinoy stars talaga na sobrang DELUSIONAL. LOL What Chinese, Thailang movies are you referring to na is being shown all over MAINSTREAM THEATRES all over North America???? Sa AMC Theatres? Sa Muvico? LOL Does this guy even know what MAINSTREAM is??? The reality is that NO ASIAN MOVIE has ever penetrated the US market with the exception of a few kung fu or Jacke Chan movies that are producted by HOLLYWOOD.

From Tita Swardings Pitik Bulag in the former times...he was supposedly taken cared of by a Gay benefactor. He was a newbie then and still very young. For the most part I believe that is the system in ABS CBN. You have to be used by a Homo before you get up. Or you have to be used by an executive. Rarely will you be spared from this abuse. You need to have a strong, influential family like Kris Aquino or very talented like Sarah, for you to get up without being experimented, tasted and used by the Padrino's.
