Part 2. Martin Escudero admires former President Ferdinand Marcos: “Tinitingala ko siya. Gusto kong sundan ang yapak niya—yung mabuti at tuwid na daan.”

Martin Escudero is related to many political figures in the country which include Senator Chiz Escudero, Senator Gringo Honasan, and the Levistes. He says he is also an admirer of the late President Ferdinand Marcos. No wonder, politics run in his veins, thus his calling to run for public office may be in the offing.

Bukod kay Senator Chiz, kamag-anak din daw ni Martin si Senator Gringo Honasan at ang mga Leviste.

Sa ngayon, plano raw ni Martin na kumuha ng kursong Public Speaking at saka siya kukuha ng Poilitical Science.

Pero sa ngayon, ang pagiging aktor pa rin daw ang prayoridad niya.

“Sa ngayon, ito ang kinabubuhay ko. Ito ang mahal ko sa ngayon. Ito ang passion ko.

“Siyempre, hanggang sa pinakamalayong mararating ko sa showbiz, e, gagawin ko muna.

“Kukunin ko muna ‘yan dahil darating din ang oras na lalagtawan ko rin ang showbiz at papasukin ko rin ang pulitika.”

    over react naman ang iba dyan... read the article again.. sinabi ni Martin at binigyang diin... gusto niya ang mga mabubuting ginawa ni Marcos... maaaring diktador si Marcos, pero may mga nagawa rin siyang kabutihan at yan ang gustong sundan ni Martin at hindi ang pagiging diktador... kesa naman si Pinoy, noynoying lang... puro ligaw kung kani kaninong babae ang inaatupag..

    AGREEING WITH MARTIN ESCUDERO. Former President Ferdinand Marcos had faults, but overall, as a PRESIDENT he is MUCH BETTER than the current President Noynoy AQUINO. NAKAKAHIYA ang WALANG EFFORT na gawain ni PNoy, lalong lalo na sa situation ng mga FILIPINO DOMESTIC HELPERS SA HONGKONG! Parang IPIS ang trato ng mga employers sa mga Filipino DH sa HK, pero wala man lang magawa kahit katiting si PNOY! Shame SHAME shame on you PNoy!

    It is useless to blame the Marcoses for our woes as a nation. Although he really pillaged the economy and the country as a whole, the state we find ourselves in as a nation is really our fault - kasalanan ng bawat isa sa atin - because we tolerate the culture of corruption and sometimes even encourage it pag tayo ang makikinabang. We tend to focus on personalities instead of issues. Na either pro-Marcos ka or anti-Aquino or pro-Gloria or whatever. Nobody is purely good or purely evil. May nagawang mabuti si Marcos, may kapalpakan si Cory. Pero if we continue to focus on personalities lang, wala tayong pupuntahan. Gagamitin tayo ng mga pulitiko and we will never move forward. Ito din siguro ang punto ni Mart. Gayahin ang mabuti at wag gayahin ang masama. Pero let us not change history naman. Otherwsie we will never learn from it.

    Allem Walker, care to put your money where your mouth is? Can you name legitimate history books and sources that support your claim, instead of just leaving the research work to us? Please enlighten us. The Philippines was already called the Paris of Asia even before Marcos' time. 1940s and 50s pa lang we were way ahead of Japan although we suffered a setback during WWII. Nobody questions Marcos' intelligence. He was a genius. But sadly, he was also corrupt. When Marcos was forced to leave power, the ecomony was already in shambles and the culture of corruption has been ingrained in society. Marcis started out as a promising leader. They say Imelda was the one who influenced him but that we will never know. Check inyternational books ba kamo? Name them.

    nakakatawa mga tao... baka babalik sa inyo mga pinagsasabi nyo... mukhang 10 lang talaga ng mga pinoy alam ang TUNAY na nangyari... 90 mga hunghangers na naniwala sa yellow propaganda... nasa mukha na nga nila ang ebidensya, nakapikit pa rin mga mata - hoy gising! bago nyo husgahan si mart, esep esep muna! research! check history! hindi yung public school bookd na aquino-edited! check international books! my golly! puro na lang diktador kuno, no hindi man lang inalam kung bakit naging diktador si marcos! baka gusto nyo maging china tayo or north korea kaya.. gusto nyo yun?

    ms pearl and koolitz - the Marcos regime is the one who brought the Philippines to where it is currently now. From the 50's until late 60's the Philippines is one of the richest countries second only to Japan, but after Marcos's second term till his ouster in 1986 his regime has amassed ill gotten wealth and leave the Phil gov't from a billion dollar surplus during the 60's and 70's to huge deficits in 1986. Up to now we are still feeling the effects of what he and his cronies did, and that is why even after 26 years since his ouster the Philippines is still a developing country.

    Cge mag alaa marcos ka. Yong ang mga tao ay walang laya sa maraming bagay. At dahil diktador, kamay na bakal. Disiplinahin ang mga mamayan sa paraang ng pagsikil sa mga karapatang pantao. Ok ka rin martin, ibang role model ang napili mo, dikatador.

    Marcos is an intelligent and thinking president. Lahat ng projects niya for long term, para macontain ang kung anumang problems at masustain ang kung anong magagandang bagay. I agree, nagkaproblema lang sa leadership niya nung nagkakasakit-sakit na sya. Ang evil ay ang mga taong nasa paligid niya. The condition of the Philippine economy started to decline nang maupo si Cory, walang ginawa kundi magbenta or magprivatize ng government properties at magpalit ng mga pangalan. Kaya nawalan na ng control ang government sa mga mahahalagang bagay na would greatly affect the economy gaya ng presyo ng gas, crimes, etc. Ang mga agricultural lands unti-unting nagkawalaan, nagpakamoderno na ang lahat at nawala na ang patriotism...

Ano ba iyan...ano na ang nangyayari sa Pilipinas?

    sino ba ang manager ng bata na ito, naawa ako sa kanya....puede ba, wag nyo sya pasalitain ng pasalitain, Manager please puede ba give him books to read make him read more before and after the takes during shooting or taping....Buti nman hiniwalayan sya ng anak ni Jean Garcia...     Hay naku mas gugustuhin ko pa nung term ni marcos kesa sa term ni gloria at ni pnoy both ay walang kwenta. Sumama lang sa publiko si ferdinand nung last term nya na sya ay maysakit at nakahiga na lang. Ang nagdidikta na ay si imelda. Pero yun martial law mas mainam magkaron nyan sa pinas para magkaron na naman ng takot ang mga mamayan at masuheto mga criminals. Curfews at death penalty yan ang kelangan ng pipinas ng tumino mga pilipino.

    I admire ferdinand marcos too yun early term nya as president nung nagkasakit sya halos si imelda na ang nagpapalakad ng pinas kaya hayun puro corruption. Dapat nga si imelda ang ikulong kasi sya naman ang corrupt hindi si ferdinand. If you have a dream go for it. Libre lang ang mangarap pero kRamihan nagkakatotoo.

    Gusto pala nyang maging dektador! Mabuti na lang hindi ko sya gusto hahaha. Nakakatakot ka hijo... tama ang iba kung naabutan mo si Marcus iwan ko kung naging artista ka.
