Lotlot de Leon on proposal to elevate Nora Aunor as National Artist: “I think my mom deserves that [as do] the other veteran actors that we have."

Lotlot de Leon on mom Nora Aunor: "Ever since she got back from the States, hindi pa kami talaga nagkakausap at nagkakasama nang matagal. She’s very busy, ako rin may trabaho.

“The usual mother-and-daughter relationship," sabi ni Lotlot.

"Kaya lang, ever since she got back from the States, hindi pa kami talaga nagkakausap at nagkakasama nang matagal.

"She’s very busy, ako rin may trabaho.

NORA AS NATIONAL ARTIST.

“I think my mom deserves that [as do] the other veteran actors that we have.

"So, sana mabigyan siya ng recognition.

"My mom, you know, she has worked all her life and to be given that special kind of recognition is napakalaking bagay para sa kanya.

"So, hopefully, we will be praying for that," sabi ng aktres.

“Siyempre, napakalaking recognition nun.

"It will be such an honor hindi lang para kay mommy kundi para sa family namin. I will be very happy for my mom.

"Pero knowing my mom, she’s a very humble person, e. Whether makuha niya o hindi, I think she’s already happy with all the achievements she has accomplished.

"And sa dami na ng pinagdaanan ni Mommy dito sa industriya, with or without it, she’s a national artist in her own right.

"So, okay na yun.”

In deliberation for NA, kasama po ang totality ng pagkatao ng nominado. Di man saint, at least she/he inspires others to be a good role model to the society... Sorry, but Ate Guy don't deserve it for now.

My goodness...magisip nga kayong mga hurado. Artistang nahulihan ng droga, lasengga, etc...gagawing national artist? Daming mas deserving sa kaniya...please lang...Huwag gawing sa pagarte lang ang maging basis...dapat malinis na pamumuhay, not a former drug addict like Nora!

Nora is long overdue for the National Artist award. cant really understand why several sectors would use her drug case and other supposedly bad behaviors as reasons enough not to give her that recognition. National Artist for Cinema implies that the recipient has done great, great contributions to the industry by bringing in recognition and honor locally and internationally. Isn't this not enough "The only Filipino and Asian actress apart from China's Gong Li to be featured by HBO, an American cable network, in a documentary film about the lives and achievements of the world's greatest actresses 1997." Come on, National Artist for Cinema is for cinematic excellence and not sainthood!

I think Nora deserve the National Artist since up to now walang makakapantay sa paghanga na ginawa ng masang Pilipino kay Nora.

di ako sure pero wala naman yata talagang i-e-elevate for NA this year kasi every 3 years yata ang proclamation ng award. if im not mistaken , for nominations yata this year and next year ang awarding. ewan ko lang din hehe. anyway..

NO NATIONAL ARTIST THIS YEAR. Give credit when it is actually due and appropriate. Kung may kaisa isang dapat ma nominate sa category na iyan, siguro si direk Brillante Mendoza, but not enough to give the recognition. They haven't done anything much for the benefit of the Pinoys and the Phils as a whole. WALAng dapat bigyan ng award!
