Lucy Torres-Gomez thinks the airport incident between Raymart Santiago and Mon Tulfo is a “learning experience for all the agencies, and all the people involved, [and] all the sectors.”

“I just find it strange that we’re supposed to have CCTV cameras and if we have, it’s not working,” paliwanag ni Lucy kung bakit niya ipinasa ang naturang bill sa kongreso.

“Kasi having CCTV cameras that are not working, parang it defeats its purpose of being there, di ba?

“Especially if it’s in the place as important as the airport, where the security is very important, and the CCTV camera is very imperative in ensuring the security of the people.

“So, I just found it really strange.

“Sabi ko nga, this is not about the brawl that happened. That’s just one of the many incidents that had happened in the airport.

“But, it has brought to surface the really bigger problem.

“There are real terrorist threats all over the world. Parang after naman 9/11 [attack], lahat naman tayo, we're more aware of the terrorist threats for a very progressive country.

“It’s a basic thing na we should have a CCTV camera that actually works.”

“I really don’t want to ano... I really don’t want to comment on that,” nakangiting pagtanggi ng TV host turned politician.

SECURITY. To Cong Lucy Torres Gomez, please CONSIDER also the other safety precautions and measures for the passengers and the public. Aside from monitoring cameras, could you please also see to it that there is adequate fire safety measures within the establishment, as well as risk management plan and STRATEGIES to implement during emergencies and casualties and related danger to the public events.
